ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the men's and women's basketball athletes of the week for the week of February 7-13.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
MacMurray College's CJ McClellan, a senior from Forsyth, Ill. (Maroa-Forsyth), has been named the SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 7-13. This marks the third time this season that he has earned the honor.

McClellan, a 6-4 point guard, averaged 21.7 points, 7.3 assists, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 steals in three games played last week. He started the week with a 22 point, nine assist and eight rebound performance to help lead MacMurray to an 80-67 win over Fontbonne University. McClellan scored another 22 points and recorded six rebounds and six assists in a 91-77 win against Greenville College. The two conference victories secured a spot for the Highlanders in the Conference Tournament for the second consecutive year.

McClellan also added 21 points on 7-of-10 (.700) shooting from the field, 3-of-4 (.750) from three-point range and 4-of-4 (1.000) from the charity stripe in an 84-78 victory versus non-conference opponent Concordia Seminary (Mo.). His 21 points helped him surpass the 1,000-career point plateau, and he also added seven assists, six rebounds and four steals in the win. McClellan's six assists versus Greenville also helped him to become the all-time assists leader in MacMurray history, breaking a record that had stood since 1989. He now has a total of 357 career assists.
