Greenville Athletes Sweep Cross Country, Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week Awards

St. Louis, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the Athletes of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Greenville College's Coree Woltering, a junior from Ottawa, Ill. (Ottawa Township), has been named the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Woltering ran a time of 26:07 on the 8K course at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships. He placed 60th out of 344 total runners and was the top finisher from the SLIAC at the race. Greenville placed 14th out of 32 teams competing, including schools from NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Greenville College's Aubree Schreder, a freshman from Waterloo, Ill., has been named the Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Schreder beat her personal best on a 5K course by 49 seconds with a time of 18:52 at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships. She placed 27th out of 330 total runners and led Greenville to an 18th place finish out of 31 teams competing, including schools from NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA.

MEN'S SOCCER - OFFENSIVE
Greenville College's David Dunlop, a junior from Coleraine, North Ireland, has been named the Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Dunlop, a forward, recorded three goals and two assists in two Greenville victories last week. He had two goals, including the game-winner, and one assist in a 4-0 shutout versus Harris-Stowe State University. Dunlop also added the game-winning goal and one assist in a 3-1 win over Monmouth College (Ill.).

MEN'S SOCCER - DEFENSIVE
Greenville College's Terrance Cosby, a senior from Jefferson City, Mo., has been named the Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Cosby, a center back, anchored the Panthers defense in two victories last week. Greenville defeated non-conference opponents Harris-Stowe State University, 4-0, and Monmouth College (Ill.), 3-1. He also scored one goal in the win against Monmouth.

"Terrance's leadership and organization of the defense helped shut down our opponent's attack," commented Greenville head coach Brian McMahon. "He was strong in defending one-on-one situations and additionally scored a goal in the process."

WOMEN'S SOCCER - OFFENSIVE
Webster University's Christy Capkovic, a senior from St. Louis, Mo. (Mehlville), has been named the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Capkovic, a forward, recorded a hat trick with three goals, including the game-winning goal, in a 6-0 non-conference victory versus Fontbonne University. It marked the 10th time in her career that she scored three goals in a single game.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - DEFENSIVE
Webster University's Izzy Sherfy, a junior from St. Louis, Mo. (Pattonville), has been named the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Sherfy, a defender, played two flawless games and anchored the Gorloks defense that recorded two shutouts last week. Webster defeated Fontbonne University, 6-0, in a non-conference matchup, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 1-0.

"Izzy's ability to keep the defense organized was the key to success on the defensive front," stated Webster head coach Luigi Scire.

VOLLEYBALL - OFFENSIVE
Greenville College's Katelin Feyerabend, a senior from Quincy, Ill., has been named the Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Feyerabend, an outside hitter, averaged 4.3 kills per set and a .360 attack percentage in three matches played last week. She had 16 kills and a .500 attack percentage in a 3-0 win versus Eureka College. Feyerabend recorded a season high 18 kills in a 3-1 victory over Fontbonne University, and she added nine kills and two blocks in a 3-0 win against MacMurray College.

VOLLEYBALL - DEFENSIVE
Westminster College's Alex Berry, a sophomore from St. Louis, Mo. (Kirkwood), has been named the Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Berry, an outside hitter, recorded 79 digs in four matches played last week. She had 32 kills and five service aces, while also adding eight kills in a 3-1 win versus Fontbonne University. Berry recorded double digits in digs in the Blue Jay's other three matches, with 19 and 14 digs respectively in 3-0 victories against Eureka College and Blackburn College. She also had 14 digs and nine kills in a 3-1 loss to Webster University.
