Eureka Hires Sara Eggleston as Assistant Athletic Trainer

EUREKA, Ill. – Sara Eggleston has been hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Eureka College, Director of Athletics Paul Bryant announced Thursday. Eggleston will be a part of the athletic training staff headed by 11th-year Head Athletic Trainer Randy Henkels and is the first full-time assistant athletic trainer at Eureka.

"Sara is a very welcome addition to our growing athletics staff," Bryant said. "We're excited to have another full-time athletic trainer on staff and her knowledge and experience will be an asset to our student-athletes."

Eggleston will work with all 18 varsity teams at Eureka. She worked the previous two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. While at UNI, Eggleston worked with the Panthers' softball and spirit squad teams and earned a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training in July 2010.

A native of Memphis, Mo., Eggleston earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo. in May 2008.
