Principia College Hires New Sports Information Director

ELSAH, Ill. - Principia College athletics is pleased to announce Heather Fairbanks as the new Sports Information Director.  The SID proudly serves the college in promoting its athletic achievements, and in timely reporting of game results and statistics.

Heather brings years of athletic experience to the position, as a player, a coach, and a fan. “I look forward to building on what James King set up in the first year of the full time SID position. Having been a coach myself, I am excited to work with all of the coaches to support their programs from this position. “ 

Heather comes to us from Edmond, Oklahoma. She attended Principia College from 2001-2005 and played four years of volleyball and one year of track.  Since graduating from college Heather has coached volleyball every year. Most recently Heather has been a math teacher and volleyball coach at Sequoyah Middle School. Associate Athletic Director Mary Ann Sprague notes that “Heather’s initiative and desire to celebrate the athletes’ accomplishments will take our Sports Information department to the next level.  

We welcome Heather’s husband Brandon and their four year old son Noah to the Principia College athletic department family as well.
