Webster SAAC Hosts Youth Basketball Team

ST. LOUIS - The South County Wildcats played a halftime exhibition during the Webster University women's basketball game vs. MacMurray College on February 9. The Wildcats are a unified youth basketball team, made up of mostly of special Olympians. The Wildcats appearance was sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

The team played a full-court scrimmage, delighting the crowd with their determination, enthusiasm, and skill. Webster student-athletes from all University sponsored sports ringed the basketball court and applauded and encouraged the Wildcats efforts.

At the conclusion of the women's basketball game, the Wildcat players, their families, and Webster student-athletes all convened for a pizza social in the University Center. This was the second straight year the Wildcats have played at Webster.
