St. Louis, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the Players of the Week for the week of April 30-May 6.

BASEBALL - PITCHER
Webster University's Ryan Martinez, a junior from Normal, Ill. (Illinois Valley CC), has been named the Diamond Sports Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 30-May 6.

Martinez, a left-handed pitcher, made just his second start of the season and led the Gorloks to an 8-1 victory over Greenville College. After Webster lost the first two games of the conference series versus Greenville, allowing 10 runs in each game, Martinez took the mound in game three and allowed four hits, three walks and one run in 7.0 innings of work to pick up the win. The evening before, Martinez pitched 2.0 innings of relief and allowed one hit, no runs, no walks and struck out three batters.

BASEBALL - HITTER
Greenville College's Ken Trager, a junior from Denver, Colo. (Green Mountain), has been named the Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of April 30-May 6.

Trager, a third baseman, went 6-for-13 at the plate with four runs scored, three RBI and one double in three games played last week. He had two hits and two RBI in an 11-1 win over Webster University. Trager then added three hits, including a double, three runs and one RBI as the Panthers defeated Webster again, this time 11-10.
