Seven Repeat as SLIAC Athletes of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the Athletes of the Week for the week of April 15-21.

BASEBALL - HITTER
Webster University's Mitchell Bonds, a senior from Decatur, Ill. (Kankakee CC), has been named the Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of April 15-21.

Bonds was an offensive force as the Gorloks swept Fontbonne University in three games last week. He went 3-for-3 with a double, home run and two RBI in the 11-4 win in the series opener. Bonds then added a double and two runs in a 9-0 shutout over the Griffins. He finished the series by hitting 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple and one run scored, as Webster won 12-4. Bonds recorded a .750 batting average for the week and a 1.625 slugging percentage.

BASEBALL - PITCHER
Spalding University's Kyle Hudson, a senior from Herrin, Ill. (Rend Lake CC), has been named the Diamond Sports Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 15-21. This marks the second time this season that he has earned the honor.

Hudson went 2-0 last week with a 0.00 ERA in 14.0 innings on the mound. He also struck out a total of 19 batters. Hudson recorded 10 strikeouts and allowed just two hits and three walks in a 5-0 victory versus MacMurray College. He then had nine strikeouts and gave up three hits and five walks in a 10-1 win at Eureka College.

SOFTBALL - HITTER
Eureka College's Kelli Dunne, a senior from Peoria, Ill. (Richwoods), has been named the Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of April 15-21. This marks the second time this season that she has earned the honor.

Dunne's offensive performance last week helped lead the Red Devils to four victories. In a double header sweep versus Spalding University, she hit for the cycle in game one and smashed walk-off solo home runs in extra innings of both games. Dunne finished the week with a .467 average (7-for-15), compiling two doubles, a triple, two home runs and six RBI. She slugged at a 1.133 clip and helped Eureka extend its win streak to eight games, the program's longest stretch without a defeat since 2002.

Dunne started her week with one hit in a 5-1 victory versus Greenville College. She then added a double and two RBI as the Red Devils defeated the Panthers, 6-3, in game two of the double header. Dunne's best game was a 4-for-5 performance in which she hit for the cycle and tallied two RBI to help defeat Spalding, 4-3. She finished the week with a walk-off home run to defeat Spalding, 4-3, in game two.

SOFTBALL - PITCHER
Eureka College's Tomi Tapper, a senior from East Peoria, Ill., has been named the Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 15-21. This marks the second consecutive week and fourth time this season that she has earned the honor.

Tapper posted a 3-0 record last week with a 0.71 ERA in 19.2 innings of work. She pitched two complete games, striking out 17 and walking only five. She had six strikeouts and allowed only one run and two walks in a 5-1 victory over Greenville College to start the week. Tapper then tallied one strikeout in 1.2 innings of relief work in a 6-3 victory in game two versus the Panthers. She pitched 11.0 complete innings and recorded 10 strikeouts in a 4-3 win over Spalding University to finish the week.

MEN'S GOLF
MacMurray College's Jeremy Rolf, a junior from New Palestine, Ind. (Lutheran), has been named the Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of April 15-21.

Rolf won the MacMurray College Invitational, placing first out of 39 golfers participating after winning a playoff in 30 mph winds. He shot a seven-over par 79, while leading the Highlanders to a fourth place finish out of seven teams. Rolf followed that performance by shooting par-72 at the McNaughton Classic. He placed third out of 61 golfers and led MacMurray to a sixth place finish out of 12 teams.

MEN'S TENNIS
Principia College's Kevin Hagenlocher, a senior from Gig Harbor, Wash. (Principa Upper School), has been named the Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of April 15-21.

Hagenlocher went 4-2 last week with two wins in singles play and two in doubles. He posted a 7-5, 6-1, victory at #3 Singles versus Greenville's Drew Herlein, and followed that with a 6-4, 6-4, win at #1 Singles versus Eureka's Wes Crandall. Hagenlocher and teammate Kenny Sydness partnered for 8-6 and 8-0 victories at #2 Doubles versus Greenville and Eureka respectively. His two losses both came against non-conference opponent, Missouri Baptist University, at #3 Singles and #2 Doubles.

MEN'S FIELD
Spalding University's Kyle Jenkins, a sophomore from Louisville, Ky. (Male), has been named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 15-21. This marks the third time this season that he has earned the honor.

Jenkins won the discus throw at the Rose-Hulman Twilight with a distance of 48.02 meters. He also placed second in the shot put with a throw of 14.71 meters. Jenkins beat his discus mark with a throw of 49.74 meters, but only placed second at the Cedarville Outdoor.

MEN'S TRACK
Eureka College's Austin Andrews, a freshman from Mackinaw, Ill. (Dee-Mack), has been named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 15-21. This marks the second time this season that he has earned the honor.

Andrews won the 100-meter dash at the Millikin Big Blue Classic with a career-best time of 11.0 seconds.

WOMEN'S FIELD
Principia College's Lyssa Winslow, a sophomore from Londonderry, N.H., has been named the Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 15-21. This marks the second consecutive week that she has earned the honor.

Winslow recorded two third place finishes in the shot put and discus throw at the Rose-Hulman Invitational. She posted marks of 10.43 meters and 34.41 meters in the two events respectively. Winslow also finished in fourth place in the hammer throw with a throw of 39.52 meters.

WOMEN'S TRACK
Webster University's Jenny Howard, a sophomore from Florissant, Mo. (Duchesne), has been named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 15-21. This marks the second time this season that he has earned the honor.

Howard won the 100-meter dash at the Rose-Hulman Twilight, setting a new stadium record and Webster school record, all while besting the competitive field of 15 runners with her time of 12.42 seconds. She then won the 200-meter dash, setting a new school record time of 25.76 seconds.
