Eureka Sweeps Soccer, Principia Sweeps Cross Country Athlete of the Year Awards for September 10-16

St. Louis, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the Athletes of the Week for the week of September 10-16.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Principia College's Adam Rolph, a sophomore from San Diego, Calif. (Canyon Crest Academy), has been named the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of September 10-16.

Rolph posted a time of 26:27 at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Illinois State University. He placed 70th overall and improved on his time by 1:25 from last season. Rolph also helped lead Principia to a 12th place finish out of 29 teams competing in the College Division.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Principia College's Sarah Litwiller, a sophomore from Concord, Calif. (Clayton Valley), has been named the Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of September 10-16.

Litwiller improved on her time from last season by 1:09 and finished with a time of 19:42 at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Illinois State University. She placed 48th out of 222 runners competing, while also helping Principia to a ninth place finish out of 24 teams in the Women's College Division.

MEN'S SOCCER - OFFENSIVE
Eureka College's Mark Meyer, a junior from Dousman, Wis. (Victory Christian), has been named the Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 10-16.

Meyer, a forward, tallied a hat trick with three goals in Eureka's 5-1 victory versus Lincoln Christian University. It marked only the ninth hat trick in program history, and Meyer also recorded the game-winning goal.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - OFFENSIVE
Eureka College's Kesli Blankenship, a junior from Lowell, Ind., has been named the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 10-16.

Blankenship, a midfielder, had her second consecutive hat trick in Eureka's 5-0 win over Lincoln Christian University. She posted three goals in the win and also added the lone goal for the Red Devils in a 3-1 loss to Wisconsin Lutheran College.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - DEFENSIVE
Eureka College's Sami Williamson, a senior from Naperville, Ill. (Naperville Central), has been named the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 10-16.

Williamson, a goalkeeper, made three saves to earn her third career shutout in a 5-0 victory over Lincoln Christian University. She then had 14 saves in a tough 3-1 loss Wisconsin Lutheran College.

VOLLEYBALL - OFFENSIVE
Webster University's Jenny Howard, a sophomore from Florissant, Mo. (Duchesne), has been named the Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 10-16.

Howard, an outside hitter, returned to the court after missing five matches due to injury and was a force in two SLIAC matches. She totaled 22 kills, 19 digs, two blocks and an outstanding .422 attack percentage. Howard had 12 kills, 13 digs and one block assist, while also posting a .478 attack percentage in a 3-0 victory versus Spalding University. She then had 10 kills in 22 total attempts for a .364 attack percentage in a 3-0 loss to Greenville College. Howard also added six digs and one block assist in the loss.

VOLLEYBALL - DEFENSIVE
Westminster College's Jordan Berry, a freshman from Kirkwood, Mo., has been named the Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 10-16.

Berry, an outside hitter, recorded 72 digs in two matches played last week. She had 30 digs in a 3-1 loss to Webster University and followed that with a season-high 42 digs in the Blue Jays' 3-1 victory over Iowa Wesleyan University.
