Eureka's Eeten, Spalding's Blakemore Tagged as Players of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the Athletes of the Week for the week of November 26-December 2.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Spalding University's Thomas Blakemore, a junior from Louisville, Ky. (Butler), has been named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 26-December 2.

Blakemore, a guard, scored 17 points in only nine minutes on the court in Spalding's 95-51 victory versus Eureka College. He shot 7-of-9 (.778) from the field and was 2-of-3 (.667) from the free throw line. Blakemore also added four rebounds, two blocks, one steal and one assist.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Eureka College's Caty Eeten, a junior from Eureka, Ill., has been named the Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 26-December 2.

Eeten, a guard, averaged 31.0 points in two SLIAC games last week, including a 33-point effort on the road at Spalding University that bumped her career point total to 999. She was 22-of-34 (.647) from the field, including 4-of-6 (.667) from three-point range, while also recording 4.5 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game and 1.5 steals per game.

Eeten had 29 points, four rebounds and two assists in a 91-77 win against MacMurray College. She shot 11-of-17 (.647) from the field and 5-of-6 (.833) from the charity stripe. Eeten added 33 points in the Red Devils' 65-62 loss to Spalding, along with five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
