Westminster's Lutz Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

Westminster College's Leigh Ann Lutz was named to the 2013-14 CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America Division III team. She becomes just the second St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference  women's basketball player to earn Academic All-America honors.

Lutz, a senior guard from California, Mo., was named to the Academic All-America Third Team. She currently holds a 4.0 grade-point average while majoring in Exercise Science and Biology. Earlier this season Lutz became the program's career scoring leader and holds two school career records and one single season school record.

Lutz joins Amy Brinkerhoff, from Greenville College, (2004) as the only SLIAC women's basketball players to be named Academic All-American. Carolyn Parker, also of Greenville, earned Academic All-America honors in 1980 prior to joining the conference.
