DIAMOND SPORTS/SLIAC BASEBALL HITTER OF THE WEEK
Taylor Stoulp, Webster University

Stoulp, an infielder from St. Louis, Mo., picked up weekly honors after hitting .625 and helping the #8 ranked Gorloks to a 2-0 record on the week. Stoulp went 3-for-3 for with two runs batted in and a stolen base in a 9-1 win over Aurora in the season opener. He followed with a 2-for-5 game in a 10-5 win over #10 Cortland State. In addition Stoulp was  perfect in the field, handling 12 chances and turning two double plays.

 

DIAMOND SPORTS/SLIAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Will Miller, Westminster College

Miller, from Oakville, Mo., is this week's Diamond Sports/SLIAC Pitcher of the Week. Miller threw a complete game shutout in a 2-0 win over Dubuque. He held Dubuque to just five hits over seven innings while walking one and striking out seven.

 

 

 

SLIAC SOFTBALL HITTER OF THE WEEK
Erin McGinnis, Webster University

Erin McGinnis, an outfielder from Fenton, Mo., hit .588 on the week with three runs batted in as she helped her team to three wins last week. McGinnis pounded out 10 hits in 17 at bats as the Gorlok offense averaged 8.16 runs per game last week. McGinnis added seven runs scored and four stolen bases.

 

 

SLIAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Samantha Powers, Webster University

Powers, from Manchester, Mo., recorded two wins last week, compiling a 2-1 overall record. She went six innings, allowing six hits and a walk while striking out three in a 9-1 win over Marywood. She followed with a five inning, complete game effort against Becker in which she allowed just four hits while striking out three. On the week she finished with a 3.77 earned-run average, while alloing 14 total hits in 13 innings pitched and striking out six.
