This week's SLIAC Players of the Week are: Kelly Adams of Principia College, Travis Blair of Webster University, Taylor Brunner of Greenville College, Kelci Flener of Spalding University, Jonathon Gandia of Spalding University, Kyle Jenkins of Spalding University, CJ Lee of Webster University, Sarah Litwiller of Principia College, Kelsey McDowell of Spalding University, Max Morohashi of Webster University, Eric Whipple of Spalding University.

SLIAC/DIAMOND SPORTS BASEBALL HITTER OF THE
WEEK Morohashi, a sophomore from Encino, Calif., is the Diamond Sports Hitter of the Week. Morohashi hit .583 in four games on the week, going 7-of-12 from the plate. Morohashi had three multi-hit games on the week and added seven runs batted in with one home run. He knocked in three RBI in games against Blackburn and in game one of a three game series against Iowa Wesleyan. He added a 4-for-6 performance in a double header of the series finale against Iowa Wesleyan. Morohashi finished with four runs scored, two doubles and a triple while finishing the week with a .615 on-base percentage. |

SLIAC/DIAMOND SPORTS BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE
WEEK Lee, a freshman from Aurora, Ill., is the Diamond Sports Pitcher of the Week. Lee picked up a pair of wins on the week including winning his first collegiate start. In his first start Lee went six innings in a 2-0 win over Blackburn. In that contest Lee recorded 10 strikeouts while allowing just five hits and one walk. He followed with a relief appearance in a win over Iowa Wesleyan. Lee worked five innings, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out 11. On the week Lee went 11 innings and recorded 21 strikeouts while allowing just two runs on seven hits. |

SLIAC SOFTBALL HITTER OF THE WEEK McDowell, a sophomore infielder from Louisville, Ky., helped spark the Golden Eagles offense to a 5-1 record on the week. McDowell hit .529 on the week with three home runs and 10 runs batted in. She was 4-for-7 in a double header against Principia and then exploded in a double header against Westminster going 4-for-8 with seven runs batted in. In game one against Westminster McDowell hit two home runs with five runs batted in. She finished the week going 9-for-17 with seven runs scored and a 1.235 slugging percentage. |

SLIAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK Flener, a sophomore from Louisville, Ky., won all three of her starts last week in addition to recording a save. Flener's top game was in a win over Principia in which she worked seven innings, striking out 17 while allowing just one hit. With her team up 5-2 she came on in the seventh inning to close out the win, allowing one hit and striking out two. Flener finished the week with a 0.74 earned-run average while recording 27 strikeouts in 19 innings. |

SLIAC MEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK Gandia, a freshman from Louisville, Ky., is this week's SLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week. Gandia was the top finisher for Spalding in the Gorlok Invitational, finishing with a two round score of 149 and placing tied for fifth. He then tied for seventh in the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational with a two round score of 156. On the week Gandia had three rounds scored in the 70's and averaged a 76.25 per round. |

SLIAC MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK Blair, a sophomore from Jerseyville, Ill., is the SLIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Blair won all three of his matches this week including a pair of singles matches. Playing at #1 singles Blair picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win over Illinois College. He dropped to the second spot against Fontbonne and recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win. In doubles play Blair notched a 9-7 win at #1 doubles.

SLIAC WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK Adams, a junior from Plano, Texas, is the SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Adams went 4-0 on the week, with a pair of wins in both singles and doubles action. Adams, playing at #3 singles was aggressive in her play and picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win over Greenville and followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Westminster. In doubles competition, on the second team, Adams won 8-2 over Greenville and 8-0 over Westminster. |

SLIAC MEN'S TRACK & FIELD PLAYER OF THE
WEEK Jenkins, a junior from Louisville, Ky., picks up his third consecutive weekly honor after another impressive showing. Jenkins recorded two top-5 finishes and another top-10 finish. He was third in the discus with a distance of 50.61 meters. He placed 5th in the shot put with a distance of 16.05 meters and added a 10th place finish in the hammer throw.

SLIAC MEN'S TRACK & FIELD PLAYER OF THE
WEEK Whipple, a freshman from West Palm Beach, Fla., had an impressive showing at the Bellarmine Invitational. Whipple took first-place in the 100-meter dash and fourth-place in the 200-meter dash. His time of 10.53 in the 100-meter is second best nationally this season and set a new meet and stadium record. His time of 21.95 in the 200-meter is tied for 16th best nationally.

SLIAC WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD PLAYER OF THE
WEEK Brunner, a senior from Argenta, Ill., had three top-5 finishes last weekend. She placed 2nd in the Heptathlon in the Eastern Illinois University meet with 4030 points. She also picked up a third-place finish in the javelin and a fourth-place finish in the high jump at the Greenville College Select Meet.

SLIAC WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD PLAYER OF THE
WEEK Litwiller, a junior from Concord, Calif., blew away the field in the Greenville Select Meet in the 5000-meter race. Litwiller finished with a time of 18:00.91, nearly 43-seconds better than the next closest finisher.

SPECIAL MENTION
- Trevor Montgomery, Greenville College (Baseball) Montgomery went 4-for-4 with three runs scored in game one of a three game series against Fontbonne.
- Aaron Moody, Blackburn College (Baseball) Moody went 6-for-8 with seven RBI in a double header against MacMurray. He added the go ahead hit in extra innings in a 5-2 win over MacMurray in game one and followed with a two-run walk off single in game two of the series against MacMurray.
