SLIAC Players of the Week - April 28
This week's SLIAC Players of the Week include a pair of student-athletes from Spalding University as well as pitcher who threw a no-hitter and a hitter which helped his team clinch a regular season title. This week's Players of the Week are from Spalding University, Hannah Stucker and Kelci Flener; from Greenville College, Tyler Mitchell; and from Webster University, Joe Winckel.
SLIAC/DIAMOND SPORTS BASEBALL HITTER OF THE
WEEK Winckel, a senior from Bonne Terre, Mo., led a Webster offense that averaged 7.3 runs per game in four games last week while clinching their 8th consecutive SLIAC regular season title. Winckel had a hit in all four games including three multi-hit games. Hit top performance was a 5-for-5 game in which he drove in four runs in a 10-3 win over Eureka. On the week Winckel hit .667, going 10-for-15 from the plate, with two home runs, 10 runs batted in and three runs scored. |

SLIAC/DIAMOND SPORTS BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE
WEEK Mitchell, a senior from Zeigler, Ill., joined the Greenville baseball record book last week by throwing a no-hitter in a win over Blackburn. Mitchell went all seven innings of the game without allowing a hit while striking out seven and walking four. Mitchell is the eight pitcher in Greenville history to record a no-hitter.

SLIAC SOFTBALL HITTER OF THE WEEK Stucker, a senior from Louisville, Ky., helped Spalding to a pair of non-conference wins last week. Stucker was 4-for-5 from the plate, hitting .800 in a double header sweep over Wilmington. She was 2-for-2 in game one, with one run scored and one RBI. In game two of the series Stucker went 2-for-3 with two runs batted in.

SLIAC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK Flener, a sophomore from Louisville, Ky., made it four straight weeks as the conference Softball Pitcher of the Week after notching a win in her only outing last week. Flener picked up a complete game two hit shutout over Wilmington, striking out six and walking just one.
