SLIAC Players of the Week - Dec. 23

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced its Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week for December 23. This week's winners are Joe James, from Westminster College, and Caty Eeten, from Eureka College.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Joe James, Westminster College

James, a senior guard from St. Louis, Mo., sparked Westminster to an 83-65 win over Eureka last week in his team's only contest. James scored 12 of his team's first 14 points and finished with a game high 20 points. James was 8-of-11 from the field including a pair of three-pointers. He added five rebounds and one assist and one steal in the win.

 

 

 

 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Caty Eeten, Eureka College

Eeten, a senior guard/forward from Eureka, Ill., is the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. Eeten helped her team to a pair of wins on the week and notched two 20-point games including a 40 point scoring effort. Eeten started the week with a 40 point game against Westminster, the second highest scoring output by a women's basketball player in a SLIAC conference game. She followed with 19 points and five assists against Dubuque and closed out the week with 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists against Bridgewater. On the week Eeten averaged 27.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 61-percent from the field.
