This week's SLIAC Players of the Week helped their teams extend their active winning streaks with impressive performances in conference play. The men's winner is Clayton Whitlock, from MacMurray College while Kayla Styles, from Spalding University is the women's winner.

SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK Whitlock, a senior from Springfield, Ill., helped the Highlanders to a pair of conference wins last week; extending their winning streak to five games and moving into second place in the standings. Whitlock started the week with a season high 29 points in his team's 108-64 win over Blackburn. Whitlock was nearly unstoppable, shooting 14-of-17 from the field, and added five rebounds. Whitlock followed with 21 points in his team's 90-84 win over Greenville. Whitlock went for 21 points and eight rebounds in the win, adding four assists. On the week Whitlock averaged 25.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 79.3 percent from the field. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK Styles, a freshman from Louisville, Ky., led the Golden Eagles to a pair of conference wins last week as her team extended their winning streak to seven games and remain undefeated in conference play. Styles netted 17 points with nine rebounds in a win over Webster. She followed that performance with her third 20 point game of the season, finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds against Westminster. On the week Styles averaged 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 66.7 percent from the field.

- Aaron Griffin, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Griffin recorded back to back double-doubles last week; averaging 14.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games.
- Kelsey Shoemake, Eureka College (Women's Basketball) Shoemake finished with two double-doubles last week including a 23 points, 15 rebound game against Principia.
- Karla Vietinghoff, Iowa Wesleyan College (Women's Basketball) Vietinghoff set a school record with 10 made three-pointers in her team's win over Principia, finishing with 32 points.
- Seth Wickert, Eureka College (Men's Basketball) Wickert was the thief of the week in the conference, recording 13 steals in just two games including an eight steal performance against Principia.
