Winslow, Bollinger and Mangelsdorf earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

ELSAH, ILL. -- Three Principia Track and Field athletes recently earned the prestigious All-Academic Individual award from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their performance both on the track and in the classroom.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better and have met either of the following athletic standards:

  • Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
  • Finished the regular season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 25 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org
Wylie Mangelsdorf (indoor mile) and Conrad Bollinger (indoor pole vault and outdoor pole vault) both went to a Track and Field National Championships and earned over a 3.30 GPA, which secured their place on the All-Academic Individual list.  Although Lyssa Winslow did not compete this year at Nationals, she did rank in the top 35 in the nation in the women's shot put (13.40 meters - a school record) and had above a 3.30 GPA, which also earned her a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual list!

Congratulations to these individuals for working hard at the national level in track and field while also maintaining an excellent GPA!
