Howard, Lueking, and Rountree Named CoSIDA Academic All-District (November 6, 2014)
A trio of St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball players were named to the 2014 CoSIDA Academic All-District teams. Jenny Howard, of Webster University; Ellen Lueking, of Greenville College; and Tess Rountree, of Principia College, were honored by the organization for the success in the classroom.....MORE

Webster's Dye Headlines SLIAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Team (November 7, 2014)
Webster University placed a league high six players on the 2014 SLIAC Women's Soccer All-Conference First Team and a total of 10 players on the All-Conference teams. The list was highlighted by 2014 SLIAC Co-Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, Kayla Dye.....MORE

Webster's Wells and Stieb, Westminster's Seibolt Take Top Honors (November 8, 2014)
Webster University's Mike Wells and Jacob Stieb and Westminster College's Dustin Seibolt took home top individual honors on the 2014 SLIAC Men's Soccer All-Conference team.....MORE

Rountree Repeats as SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Year (November 8, 2014)
Tess Rountree continued a conference theme as she repeated as the SLIAC Player of the Year. Also picking up individual honors on the 2014 SLIAC Volleyball All-Conference team were Defensive Player of the Year, Jamie Schollenbruch and Newcomer of the Year, Allyson Mitchell....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn women's soccer players Alexis Richie and Nicole Kelly earned All-Conference honors this year. Richie, a senior defender, and Kelly, a freshman goalkeeper, were each named to the Second Team. Beaver volleyball player Victoria Bowens also earned Third Team All-Conference honors in her sport.

The Eureka men's basketball team will begin their 2014-15 season on Saturday when they host Rockford. The Red Devil women's basketball team opens up their 2014-15 season this weekend when they are on the road against Knox College.

Fontbonne women's soccer head coach Brian Hoener was named the 2014 SLIAC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year. Hoener guided the Griffins to a 15-4-2 regular season record; tying the program mark for wins in a season. This marks the second time in his four years as head coach of the team he has taken home Coach of the Year honors.

Greenville took two of the top three SLIAC Volleyball individual awards this season. Jamie Schollenbruch, a junior libero, was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year. Allyson Mitchell, a freshman outside hitter, was named the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year.

Iowa Wesleyan sophomore libero Cierra Howard was named Volleyball Third Team All-Conference after finishing third in the conference in digs per set this past season. She is just the second player in program history to earn All-Conference honors, joining Hannah Maledy from last year.

MacMurray freshman Alexis Mitchell was named SLIAC Women's Soccer Third Team All-Conference this year. Highlander Morgan Hauser, a junior, was named Third Team All-Conference in Volleyball.

Principia's Tess Rountree became the ninth player in SLIAC history to repeat as Volleyball Player of the Year. Rountree led the conference in kills, kills per set, and solo blocks and was second in digs and third in service aces. Rountree recorded double digit kills in all but three matches this season and twice finished with more than 20 kills in conference action.

The Spalding volleyball team entered the SLIAC Volleyball team as the #4 seed but advanced to the championship match after upsetting top seed Greenville in the first round. Spalding fell 3-0 to Webster in the championship match, finishing the year with an 18-6 overall record. Head Coach Bridget Yates was named the 2014 SLIAC Coach of the Year.

The Webster women's soccer team will face University of Chicago on Saturday in Chicago, Illinois in their first round game of the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Gorlok volleyball team will stay in town and face Emory University on Friday as they are hosted by Washington University-St. Louis.

The Westminster men's soccer team will have a face a familiar post-season face in their first round game of the NCAA Tournament. Westminster will face Loras College, the team that ended the Blue Jays run in the national tournament last year.
