Season (November 14, 2014)
The Webster University volleyball team's 2014 season ended
with a 3-0 loss to the #6 ranked and #1 seeded Emory University, in

Chicago In First Round (November 15, 2014)
The Webster University women's soccer team fell in first round
NCAA III Regional play, losing to host University of Chicago, 1-0,

Westminster Knocked
Out By Loras (November 15, 2014)
The Westminster men's soccer team was knocked out of the
NCAA Tournament by Loras College once again on Saturday, November
11. The Loras Duhawks will advance to the second round of the
tournament with the 2-0 win.....MORE

Headed To Nationals (November 17, 2014)
The Principia cross country teams closed out their season
with a race at the Midwest Region; with men's runner Nate Richards
qualifying for a spot at nationals.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC
The Blackburn men's basketball team opened their season with a
pair of games in the Colorado College Tournament. The Beavers fell
to the host 81-64 and dropped the second game of the tournament
136-112 against Grinnell. Five Beavers scored in double figures in
the high scoring affair against Grinnell. |
For the first time this season and the fifth time of her collegiate career, Eureka College senior forward Kelsey Shoemake was named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Shoemake poured in 33 points and added 15 rebounds on the road against Knox College |

The Greenville hoops teams opened their 2014-15 season in a double
header against Elmhurst. The women's team fell 71-64 with Claire
Schmitt leading the way with 14 points. The Panther men's team lost
92-75 as Michael Hohm led the team with 15 points. |
The Iowa Wesleyan men's basketball team got off to a strong start this season with an 85-76 win over Central Christian in their season opener. Last year the Tigers dropped their first two games of the season and finished the year with just six wins. The Tigers return to action with three more road contests over the next week as they will face Ozark Christian, Faith Baptist, and Knox. |
The MacMurray women's basketball team got off to a busy start to
the season, playing three games in a three day stretch. The
Highlanders dropped all three contests; Hendrix, Rhodes, and
Illinois College. Kaydee Carmody is off to a quick start and leads
the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game. |
Men's Basketball player Jeff Ross was named SLIAC Player of the Week after leading the Panthers to a win in their 2014-15 season opener. Ross scored a game high 24 points in the 81-50 win over Lincoln Christian. Ross was 8-of-11 from the field. He added 14 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots in the game while going 8-of-11 from the free-throw line. Six of his eight rebounds came on the offensive end while putting together a 2-to-1 turnover ratio. |
The Spalding women's basketball team opened the season with a pair of wins before falling to Transylvania. The Golden Eagles defeated Bluffton and Dominican before having their win streak snapped in a 73-60 loss. Transfer Kayla Styles has led the team in scoring thus far, averaging 16.7 points per game while adding 9.0 rebounds per game. |
The Webster men's basketball team started the year by splitting a
pair of games in their first week; falling to Monmouth but
rebounding with a win over Knox. Ahmad Smith poured in 30 points in
the win for the Gorloks. The women's basketball team also went 1-1,
defeating Dominican but falling to Bluffton. |
The Westminster women's basketball team started their year with a
75-70 win over Millikin. Andrea Zalis led the Blue Jays with 17
points while Mackenzie Haddox chipped in with 14 points and Sadie
Theroff added 12 points. |
