SLIAC Winter All-Academic Team Released
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has released the 2014-15 Winter All-Academic Team. The conference would like to congratulate the 53 student-athletes that achieved the honor this year.
Westminster College led the way for the most student-athletes on the list, with ten while Greenville finished second with nine. In addition there were five student-athletes who earned Winter All-Academic honors as well as Fall All-Academic honors this year. They are: Rebecca DeNicholas (Principia), Dakota Flesner (Iowa Wesleyan), Cydny Saxer (MacMurray), Dee Dee Sliter (Spalding), and Danielle Smulczenski (Westminster).
This year's All-Academic Team is the third largest for the Winter season in SLIAC history behind the 2006-07 year, 67 student-athletes, and the 2003-04 year, 62 student-athletes.
In order to be earn All-Academic Team honors a student-athlete must hold a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and have been enrolled in at least one full year at their current institution.
