Volleyball to Host 'Dig Pink' Night Oct. 1 - Take on #4 Wash U. and Fontbonne

Once again, the Webster University's volleyball team is hosting its annual "Dig Pink" night to raise awareness levels of breast cancer, and to raise funds toward the battle against it. This year's event will take place on Wednesday, October 1, as the Gorloks take on both of their Big Bend rivals, Fontbonne University and Washington University.

The first match, vs. Fontbonne, begins at 6:00 pm, with the Washington U. match to follow.  The Bears are currently ranked #4 nationally in the NCAA III.

Everyone attending 'Dig Pink' night will have a chance to participate in a silent auction, and enter a 50-50 raffle. All proceeds from the event will go to the Side-Out Foundation, a volleyball-themed organization devoted to the battle against breast cancer.  There is no need to wait to donate, or if you can't make the match on October 1,...you can donate by going to https://www.side-out.org/cb/campaigns/campaign/9284 as well.

The Webster Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) will be hosting a volleyball serving contest that evening as well.  Entry to the contest is free, and winners can take home Domino's Pizza as prizes.

Come out and enjoy an evening of top notch volleyball action, and help out in the fight against breast cancer as well.
