Eureka Holds Golden Tornado Awards Banquet
The Eureka College student-athletes handed out awards to their peers Sunday evening during the inaugural Golden Tornado Awards banquet held inside the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center.
Below are the award winners for each award presented:
Faculty/Staff Member of the Year – Jason Zimmerman
Outstanding Female Athlete – Kerrigan Dura
Outstanding Male Athlete – Javier Rivera
Female Newcomer of the Year – Lexi Dooley
Male Newcomer of the Year – Chris Friend
Fan of the Year – Dan Harrod
Coach of the Year – Debi Neff
Performance of the Year – Sam and Shea Feehan combine for 62 points against Greenville
Play of the Year – Emily Camden fouled shooting a 3-pointer against Fontbonne
Most Inspirational – Aaron Pearlman
Miss Red Devil – Emily Camden
Mr. Red Devil – Michael Sain
Nominations were made by coaches and student-athletes as well as EC athletic staff members. A committee of selected individuals – faculty, staff, and administrators – outside of athletics then selected the individual or team that best exemplifies the requirements described for the award.
