This week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week are: Brent Long, from MacMurray College and Jessica Jordan, from Fontbonne University.

SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEKf
BRENT LONG - MacMURRAY COLLEGE

Long, a sophomore from Jacksonville, Ill., is this week's SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week after helping his team go 1-1 in the Cavallo Classic Tournament. Long averaged 22.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in two games during the tournament, earning All-Tournament honors. He netted a high of 26 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, in a win over Rust. He followed with 19 points, on 9-of-13 shooting, in just 26-minutes of action against Luther. Long shot 58.8 percent from the field on the week, going 20-of-34 from the floor.

SLIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JESSICA JORDAN - FONTBONNE UNIVERSITY

Jordan, a freshman from St. Louis, Mo., is the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after her performance against Knox College. Jordan, a forward, recorded her first career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds against Knox. She was 9-of-14 from the field including 2-of-3 from the free-throw line. Jordan grabbed three offensive rebounds and added two steals, one block, and one assist. Jordan is currently averaging 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game this season.

Other Notables:

  • Michaela Balducci, Eureka College (Women's Basketball) Balducci filled up the box score against Millikin, finishing with 10 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, and 8 steals.
  • Ben Kissing, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) Kissing finished with 27 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Concordia (Ill.), going 3-for-3 from three-point range.
  • Alex Martin, Spalding University (Women's Basketball) Martin scored 15 of her 20 points against Centre in the fourth quarter and overtime, including knocking down the go ahead three-pointer in overtime to help Spalding secure a win.
  • Hunter Ward, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Ward put together back to back 20 point efforts last weekend, averaging 20.5 points per game and earning All-Tournament honors.
