Greenville's Daniel Named Jostens Trophy Finalist (March 1, 2016)
Greenville College's Tim Daniel has been named a 2016 Jostens Trophy Finalist, one of just 20 total student-athletes from NCAA Division III to receive the honor. The Jostens Trophy is awarded to an outstanding NCAA Division III men’s and women’s basketball player who excels on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.....MORE
SLIAC Teams Head To NCAA Division III Basketball Championship (March 1, 2016)This week a pair of St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams prepare for their trip to the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Basketball Championship. Greenville College is headed to St. Louis, Mo. to face Washington University-St. Louis while Westminster College will be traveling to Rock Island, Ill. to face Augustana College.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC
Blackburn junior guard Chris Davis was named SLIAC Men's Basketball Second Team All-Conference. Davis was eighth in the league in scoring at 16.0 points per game. Earlier this season Davis reached a career milestone; topping the 1,000 point mark. Davis helped his team reach the ten win mark this past season for the first time since the 2006-07 season. |
Eureka freshman Shea Feehan was named the SLIAC Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Year, becoming the first Red Devil to take home the conference award. Feehan made an immediate impact for the Red Devils, joining the team at semester, averaging 22.1 points per game. He had three games of 30 or more points and averaged 4.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. |
Fontbonne's Tanner Carter was named the SLIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week this past week after a dominating performance over Dominican University. Carter threw a complete game shutout against Dominican, allowing just three hits and striking out 11 while walking just two. Carter is now 1-1 on the season as the Griffins are 1-5 on the season. |
The Greenville women's basketball team captured the program's first ever SLIAC Tournament title with a win over Westminster College in the Championship game last weekend. The Panthers are 20-7 overall and have won seven straight games as they enter the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship. They will head to St. Louis, Mo. to face #9 ranked Washington-St. Louis on Friday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. |

MacMurray College freshman Brianna Markusic was named the 2015-16 SLIAC Women's Basketball Newcomer of the Year. Markusic is just the third Highlander to win the award in program history. Markusic averaged 17.9 points per game during conference play this season, grabbing 8.1 rebounds per game. She also recorded 36 blocked shots this season. In addition Markusic was named SLIAC Third Team All-Conference. |
The Principia basketball teams were represented well on the 2015-16 SLIAC All-Conference teams. Adaku Anumu and Kara Johnson were named to the SLIAC Second Team All-Conference while Sophia Hathaway and Joey Sander were each named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Anumu and Johnson both finished as the league's leading scorers. |

The Webster golf team teed it up for the first time this spring as they competed in the Mississippi College Spring Invitational. Webster shot a three day score of 927, placing 10th in the field. Jon Hughes led the Gorloks with a score of 219, placing 12th overall, including a low of 69 in the opening round. |
The Westminster men's basketball team secured the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship with a win over Spalding in the SLIAC Tournament title game. The Blue Jays will be making their fourth trip to the national tournament and will face #1 ranked Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. on March 4 at 7:30 p.m. |
