This weekend NCAA Division III held Women's Cross Country Regionals, capping the running season for St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams. AROUND THE SLIAC

The Blackburn men's soccer team will host an exposure camp on Saturday, December 5 at 1 p.m. The one day event costs just $10 and will include two hours of instruction. The camp is intended for 2016 graduates. To sign up for the event click HERE
Eureka College junior Michaela Balducci was named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week this week after leading the Red Devils in their effort against Illinois College. Balducci scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the contest, adding four assists and three steals.
The Fontbonne men's basketball team put together a come from behind win in their season opener, an 83-74 win over Morthland, to give Head Coach Lance Thornhill his first win as a collegiate head coach. The Griffins came back from 11 points down to win the game, sparked by Koty Ettinger's 21 point effort.
The Greenville volleyball team faced #2 ranked Emory in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship, falling 3-1. The Panthers fell 25-18, 27-25, 20-25, 25-20 as the loss ended the Panthers record breaking season. Greenville committed 32 attack errors, but held an edge in kills during the match at 52 to 48. Senior Jamie Schollenbruch recorded 33 digs, finishing her career with 2,279 digs; breaking the program record.

Iowa Wesleyan senior Alyssa Morales was named to the 2015 SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Moralez, from Romeoville, Ill, represented the Tigers on the team, which awards a player from each team that best represents the ideals of sportsmanship. Tiger Mitch Schneider won the award in men's soccer and Lindsey Schaffter won in women's soccer with the Tigerswomen's soccer team winning the Team Sportsmanship award.

Sophomore Lyndi Saccarro was named to the SLIAC Women's Soccer All-Second Team after tying for the conference lead in goals with 17. Saccarro helped the Highlanders to their best record since 1998. Teammate Tiffay Hazelwonder picked up All-Sportsmanship honors while Miles Money, men's soccer, and Maddie Langeillier, volleyball, also earned All-Sportsmanship honors. Morgan Hauser and Alexa Boyer also earned All-Conference honors in volleyball.
The Principia baseball team will head to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for their spring break this season. The Panthers will compete at the Ripken Experience facilities during their east coast trip. Head Coach Chris Marston plans on playing five games during their trip, which will last from March 14 until March 18.

Spalding's Nick Trisko was named the SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week after helping the Golden Eagles to a win in their 2015-16 season opener. Trisko, a transfer, netted 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in his team's 85-82 win over Berea. Trisko, from Lexington, Ky., shot 9-of-17 from the fiel and was 7-of-11 from the free-throw line.

The Webster cross country teams completed their season with a 32nd place, women, and 31st, men , showing at the NCAA Division III Regionals. The Gorloks women's team was led by Holly Goergen, who finished in a time of 24:31 and placed 158th out of 272 runners. Riley Flynn led the men's team with a 113th place finish, completing the course in 26:35.
The Westminster men's cross country team had just three runners compete in the Regionals but saw two of the runner break into the top five overall finishes for the Blue Jays. Glenn Teubner finished 110th, with a time of 26:31, the third best finish in Blue Jay program history. Will Megl ran a 26:41, placing 122nd, and finishing fifth in program history.
