SLIAC Players of the Week - October 3
This week's SLIAC Players of the Week include Jacob Burrell, from Greenville College; Ryan Dudley, from Fontbonne University; Ryan Glenn, from Spalding University; Cierra Howard, from Iowa Wesleyan University; Kelsey Kaiser, from Spalding University; Lia Kruse, from Greenville College; Jory Siebenmorgan, from Webster University; and Meredith Wendt, from Fontbonne University.

SLIAC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK Jacob Burrell is this week's SLIAC Men's Cross Country Player of the Week. Burrell, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, picked up his first career top finish in helping the Panthers also pick up a first place team finish at the Millikin meet. Burrell completed the 8K course in a time of 26:02, setting a new personal best time. Burrell finished the event, which included 30 runners from four different schools, by nearly 25 seconds faster than the closest competitor. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK Lia Kruse grabs the SLIAC Women's Cross Country Player of the Week award after a first place finish in the Millikin meet. Kruse, a junior from Batavia, Ill., completed her 6K race in a time of 23:02. Her time was nearly a full minute faster than her previous personal best. In addition to taking first place at the meet Kruse helped the Panthers take first place as a team. The win was also her first collegiate win.

SLIAC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (OFFENSIVE) Fontbonne's Ryan Dudley is the SLIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Dudley, a junior from Eureka, Mo., netted a hat trick that propelled an offensive explosion for the Griffins. Entering their game Fontbonne had just three goals on the season but Dudley quickly pushed that total upwards in the 8-0 win. He scored just five-minutes into the start of the game and added his second goal 10-minutes later. He completed the hat trick with a goal early in the second-half. Dudley scored his three goals on just four shots on goal and six shots overall. |

SLIAC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (DEFENSIVE) Ryan Glynn, a senior from Louisville, Ky., is this week's SLIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Glynn helped the Golden Eagles hand Westminster College their first SLIAC loss since 2014. Glynn stopped all eight shots he faced in his team's 1-0 win over the Blue Jays, blanking the league's top scoring team. The win marks the second consecutive conference win for Spalding and is Glynn's third shutout of the season, most in the SLIAC. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (OFFENSIVE) Meredith Wendt is this week's SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Wendt, a junior from Troy, Ill., helped the Griffins extend their winning streak to four games including picking up a 5-0 conference win over MacMurray. Wendt tallied three goals in her team's two games last week. She started the week with two goals in a 3-1 win over Oakland City, scoring the first and third goals of the game. She also found the back of the net in a 5-0 win over MacMurray. On the week Wendt finished with three goals on seven shots. |

SLIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (DEFENSIVE) Kelsey Kaiser, a goalkeeper from Spalding University, is this week's SLAIC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Kaiser, a senior from Louisville, Ky., recorded her second shutout of the season in a 1-0 double overtime win over Westminster. Kaiser stopped seven shots in the game including two stops on break-aways; playing a total of 102:38 in net.

SLIAC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK (DEFENSIVE) Cierra Howard picks up her third SLIAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week award this season after averaging 6.73 digs per set last week. Howard, a senior from Bellevue, Neb., totaled 74 digs in three matches last week including a high of 35 digs in a 3-1 win over Blackburn. In addition Howard added three service aces and 11 kills on the week.

- Edgar Bueno, Greenville College (Men's Soccer) Bueno netted the game winning goal and added an assist in his team's 3-1 win over Principia.
- Jessica Diehl, Spalding University (Volleyball) Diehl finished with 15 kills, hitting .682, in helping Spalding knock off Westminster.
- Jessica Esper, Blackburn College (Women's Soccer) Esper finished with two goals and an assist in her team's win over Eureka.
- Nermin Hajrizi, Webster University (Men's Soccer) Hajrizi scored two goals, including the game winner against Iowa Wesleyan.
- Osman Hussein, Spalding University (Men's Soccer) Hussein tallied the game winning goal in his team's 1-0 win over Westminster, handing them their first loss to a SLIAC team in 17 games.
- Kelsey Kaiser, Spalding University (Women's Soccer) Kaiser scored the only goal of the game in her team's 1-0 double overtime win over Westminster.
- Kersten McDonough, Fontbonne University (Volleyball) McDonough had three double-double matches last week, including 18 kills and 16 digs in a win over Spalding.
- Katie O'Toole, Webster University (Volleyball) O'Toole helped the Gorloks pick up two key conference wins last week as she moved into third place on the program's all-time digs list.
- Nate Richards, Principia College (Cross Country) Richards took first place at the Wisconsin-Lutheran Warrior Invitational, finishing with a time of 26:51.
- Cassandra Schwamborn, Iowa Wesleyan (Volleyball) Schwamborn totaled 18 kills and 27 digs in her team's 3-1 win over Blackburn.
- Savannah Sells, Greenville College (Volleyball) Sells hit .431 on the week with 33 kills in three matches, adding eight total blocks.
- Emily Tippetts, Principia College (Volleyball) Tippetts dominated the Panther offensive attack this week, averaging 4.89 kills per set including a 25 kill outing against Eureka.
