Iowa Wesleyan University 'TIGERS'

Iowa Wesleyan is just 3-14 overall this season, 3-7 in the SLIAC, but have five losses by 10 or fewer points. They topped MacMurray one week ago but were unable to follow that up as they fell to Principia their next time out.

The Tigers are averaging 77.8 points per game and average 9.0 three's per game, the third most among SLIAC teams. Butler is leading the team at 24.8 points per game and has knocked down 56 three's this season. Mitch Drey is the Tigers' top inside player, averaging 16.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 51-percent from the floor. Elijah Johnson is also averaging 11.8 points per game and is in the top ten in the league with 34 three-pointers.

Spalding University 'GOLDEN EAGLES'

Spalding had their four-game winning streak stopped on Monday night in a loss to Greenville. Still, the Golden Eagles winning streak brought them back into playoff contention as they are now 6-4 in the SLIAC and 8-8 overall.

Spalding leads all conference teams by allowing just 73.1 points per game this season, thanks in large part to slowing the game down and running their half-court offense. That offense is led by Dominique Ellis, 14.8 points per game. Brandon Williams is another option for the Golden Eagles, averaging 11.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Freshmen Robert Bendingfield, Marcus Montgomery, and Cornelius Watts have all shown the ability to make an impact on the court at times this season.

Last Time They Met
Spalding won 84-62 earlier this year in Louisville. The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 45-20 lead at halftime as Dominique Ellis led the way with 31 points. Brock Butler paced Iowa Wesleyan with 22 points in the game. Spalding shot 47-percent, holding the Tigers to just 33-percent shooting, and outrebounded the Tigers 52-30 in the game.
