TreVaughn Goodman and Kendahl Adams are the SLIAC Players of the Week for January 15, 2018.

 

SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - JANUARY 15

TreVaughn Goodman, Principia College

Goodman, a sophomore from Plantation, Florida, highlighted his week with a triple-double while pouring in the third most points in conference history. Goodman netted 43 points, on 16-of-18 shooting, against Greenville while also grabbing 15 rebounds and dishing 14 assists. He also picked up three steals and two blocked shots in the game. Goodman followed with 23 points and five assists while leading Principia to a win over Fontbonne. On the week Goodman averaged 33.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists while shooting 80-percent from the field. 

   

SLIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - JANUARY 15

Kendahl Adams, Westminster College

Kendahl Adams, a junior guard, helped the Blue Jays win two of their three games last week, averaging 19.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. She also recorded eight steals over the three games while shooting 83-percent from the free-throw line. Adams' best game was a 28 point, 9 assist, 8 rebound, 5 steal outing against Barclay. She led her team in scoring twice on the week and has now scored in double figures in six straight games.

  • Dakota Bennington, Eureka College (Men's Basketball) Recorded a pair of 20 point games while coming off the bench and helping the Red Devils to a pair of conference wins.
  • Steven Brandt, Westminster College (Men's Basketball) Brandt finished with a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds against MacMurray.
  • Brock Butler, Iowa Wesleyan University (Men's Basketball) Butler had back to back 30 point games last week including a 32 point, 10 rebound effort against Eureka.
  • Kendall Davis, MacMurray College (Men's Basketball) Davis had a game-high 23 points while helping MacMurray to a win over then first-place Westminster. 
  • Kerrigan Dura, Eureka College (Women's Basketball) Last week Dura recorded her second triple-double of the season with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists in a win over Westminster.
  • Alex Martin, Spalding University (Women's Basketball) Martin led Spalding to a win over Blackburn with 26 points adding seven rebounds and three assists.
  • Nigel Wilcox, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Averaged a double-double, at 14.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, including an eight-block game against Blackburn; the third most in a single game by a Gorlok.
  • Brandon Williams, Spalding University (Men's Basketball) Had 18 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Blackburn.
  • Jared Woodcock, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) Woodcock averaged 18.0 points over two games last week while shooting 71-percent from the floor.
