SLIAC Players of the Week - January 22

For the second time, this season the Eureka College duo of Shea Feehan and Hayley Reneau will take home SLIAC Player of the Week honors in the same week. This also marks the fourth time for each player they have won the award this season.

 

SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - JANUARY 22

Shea Feehan, Eureka College

Feehan, a junior from Peoria, Ill., claims the weekly award after putting up back to back 40-point games last week. He started the week with 44 points, on 13-of-19 shooting, against Fontbonne while adding five rebounds. Feehan followed with 47 points against Greenville, just two shy of his career high and the fourth highest single-game total in SLIAC history. Feehan shot 64-percent from the floor on the week and knocked down 9-of-20 three-point attempts while averaging 45.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. 

   

SLIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - JANUARY 22

Hayley Reneau, Eureka College

Hayley Reneau, a senior guard, helped the Red Devils extend their winning streak to eight games with two more conference wins last week. She averaged 24.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over two games while shooting 43-percent from the field including 48-percent from three-point range. Reneau netted 30 points, knocking down seven three's, in a win over Fontbonne. The seven three-pointers were the second most in program single-game history. She followed with 19 points and five rebounds in a win over Greenville. Reneau currently leads the SLIAC in points per game and three-pointers made. 

Other Notables: 

  • Kendahl Adams, Westminster College (Women's Basketball) Finished with 28 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in win over Kansas Christian. 
  • Marvin Bateman, Greenville University (Men's Basketball) Bateman had a career-high 28 points, going 8-of-10 from three-point range, in a win over Webster.
  • Robert Bendingfield, Spalding University (Men's Basketball) Helped his team to a win over Principia with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals.
  • Kendall Davis, MacMurray College (Men's Basketball) Had back to back 20-point efforts last week, averaging 21.5 points and 4.0 assists per game.
  • Mitchell Drey, Iowa Wesleyan University (Men's Basketball) Finished with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in a win over MacMurray while going 9-of-13 from the field.
  • Taylor Lucas, Webster University (Women's Basketball) Lucas led the Gorloks to a win over Westminster with a 22 point, 10 rebound, 4 assist, 4 block effort. 
  • Alex Martin, Spalding University (Women's Basketball) Martin filled up the box score in her team's win over Fontbonne with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.
  • Nigel Wilcox, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Wilcox had a game to remember with 33 points and 20 rebounds against Greenville, marking the third highest rebound total in program history. 
  • Jared Woodcock, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) Had a season-high 22 points, on 9-of-16 shooting, against Eureka.
