SLIAC Players of the Week - November 20

The year's first St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Basketball Players of the Week are Shea Feehan, from Eureka College and Darby Massner, from Iowa Wesleyan University.

 

SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - NOVEMBER 20

Shea Feehan, Eureka College

Shea Feehan has picked up this season where he left off last spring. After leading the conference in scoring last year Feehan put up back to back 20 point games in the opening week. Feehan had a high of 34 points in a win over Robert Morris-Springfield, knocking down six three-pointers in the contest. He followed with 20 points against Central Michigan, for a weekly average of 27.0 points per game. Feehan also knocked down all 12 of his free-throw attempts last week.

   

SLIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - NOVEMBER 20

Darby Massner, Iowa Wesleyan University

Massner, a junior guard, was the focus of the Tigers offense last week; averaging 23.5 points per game and 9.0 rebounds over two contests. Massner recorded a high of 24 points, with three assists, against Graceland and added 23 points and 10 rebounds against Coe. On the week Massner shot 53.3 percent from the field and knocked down 8-of-15 three-point attempts. 

Other Notables: 

  • Brock Butler, Iowa Wesleyan University (Men's Basketball) Butler averaged 27.7 points per game last week including a high of 30 points against Aurora. 
  • Kerrigan Dura, Eureka College (Women's Basketball) Dura recorded the first-ever triple-double in Red Devils program history with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists against Knox.
  • Riley Guffey, Fontbonne University (Women's Basketball) Guffey led the Griffins in scoring in both of her team's games last week, scoring 17 points in helping the Griffins open the year with two wins.
  • Jaysea Morgan, Webster University (Women's Basketball) Morgan filled up the boxscore in her team's win over Ripon; finishing with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.
