SLIAC Players of the Week - November 27

Career-high performances from Shea Feehan and Hayley Reneau lead to the Eureka College duo winning SLIAC Player of the Week honors for November 27.

 

SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - NOVEMBER 27

Shea Feehan, Eureka College

Shea Feehan collects his second straight SLIAC Player of the Week award after leading the Red Devils to three wins last week. Feehan, a junior guard from Peoria, Ill., averaged 37.7 points per game during the wins. He had a high of 49 points, setting a new program single-game scoring record and the third most points in SLIAC history. Earlier in the week Feehan also joined the 1,000 point club for his Red Devil career. On the week he shot 53-percent from the floor while hitting 12 three-pointers and going 31-for-34 at the free-throw line. In addition, Feehan averaged 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.

   

SLIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - NOVEMBER 27

Hayley Reneau, Eureka College

Reneau, a senior guard from Washington, Ill., led her team to a 91-78 win over Monmouth last week; scoring 41 points in just 38-minutes of action. Reneau finished the game with 41 points, making 13 field goals including knocking down six three-pointers and going 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. She started the game with 18 points in the opening quarter and had 31 points at half-time. Reneau's 41 points are the second most in SLIAC history and it marks the fourth time in program history a Red Devil has topped the 40 point mark.

Other Notables: 

  • Luke Deline, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) Scored a career-high 14 points against Dallas, going 5-of-9 from the field.
  • Sarah Schraut, Fontbonne University (Women's Basketball) Had a career-high 16 points against Knox, hitting 8-of-12 shots from the floor.
  • Nigel Wilcox, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Recorded a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Centre.
