SLIAC Players of the Week - December 4

Shea Feehan takes home his third straight SLIAC Player of the Week award this season while Paige Black wins the first in her career.

 

SLIAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - DECEMBER 4

Shea Feehan, Eureka College

Feehan garners his third conference weekly award this season after averaging 37.0 points in two conference wins last week for the Red Devils. Feehan tallied 34 points on 13-of-18 shooting in a win over Greenville and followed with 40 points in a win over MacMurray, knocking down seven three-pointers. On the week Feehan shot 58.5-percent from the floor while hitting 47-percent of his three-point attempts. Feehan also knocked down 18-of-19 free-throws and averaged 2.5 assists per game.

   

SLIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - DECEMBER 4

Paige Black, Fontbonne University

Black, a junior guard for Fontbonne University, led the Griffins to a pair of conference wins last week while averaging 21.5 points in the two games. Black scored a career-high 23 points in a 70-67 win over Spalding, knocking down six three-pointers in the game and adding three assists and four steals. She followed with 20 points, all in the first half, against Blackburn while finishing with five steals and two assists on 8-of-14 shooting. For the week Black shot 47-percent from the field and hit 10 three-pointers while recording five assists and nine steals. 

Other Notables: 

  • Kennedy Dura, Eureka College (Women's Basketball) Dura averaged 16.0 points and 9.0 assists over three games last week including two double-double performances.
  • Dominique Ellis, Spalding University (Men's Basketball) Ellis recorded 31 points and eight rebounds in helping the Golden Eagles to a win over Iowa Wesleyan.
  • Stu Hollandsworth, Westminster College (Men's Basketball) Hollandsworth poured in 28 points, on 14-of-18 shooting, against Greenville.
  • Mirrakohl Johnson, Westminster College (Women's Basketball) Johnson recorded 33 points and 22 rebounds in a 77-72 win over Webster. 
  • Duncan King, Blackburn College (Men's Basketball) King netted back to back 20-point performances in helping the Beavers pick up two conference victories.
  • Kris McCann, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) McCann filled up the boxscore against Robert Morris-Springfield; finishing with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists.
