Morenz To Return To Blackburn, Stepping Down as Commissioner  (Feb. 14, 2018)
Angie Morenz has announced her resignation as the Commissioner of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and will be returning to Blackburn College to serve in the role of Dean of Work, overseeing the Blackburn College work program.....MORE

SLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament Preview (Feb. 20, 2018)
The 2018 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament field includes Eureka College, Greenville University, Webster University, and Westminster College. This marks the first time in tournament history that all four programs in the tournament field have previously won a SLIAC Tournament Championship.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

After coming up just short the previous two years the Blackburn men's basketball team clinched a spot in the postseason. The Beavers recorded a pair of overtime wins in the final week to secure their spot including an 82-75 win over two-time defending tournament champion Westminster last Saturday. This marks the Beavers first conference tournament appearance since 2006. 

Eureka College

Eureka sophomore guard Kennedy Dura tallied 11 points and seven assists in the Red Devils win over Iowa Wesleyan last week. That gave her 154 assists on the season, setting a new program record for assists in a season; breaking the previous mark held by Deb Kessinger. Dura added six more assists in her regular-season finale and now has 160 on the year. She leads the #2 seed Red Devils into the conference tournament this weekend.

Fontbonne University

The Fontbonne baseball team is already in action, having played three games in Mississippi last weekend. The Griffins went 1-2 on their trip with a win in their season opener over Belhaven. Fontbonne is set to face Dominican and Chicago in their 2018 opener this Sunday.

Greenville University

With their win over Spalding last week the Greenville women's basketball team clinched the program's first SLIAC regular season title since the 1996-97 season. The Panthers finished the regular season with a 15-1 conference record, marking the most conference wins in program history. The Panthers will now play host to the 2018 SLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament this weekend. 

Iowa Wesleyan University

Brock Butler capped off his stellar senior season for the Tigers with a 45 point game against MacMurray last Saturday. Butler connected on six three-pointers and added 10 rebounds in the game, coming up just one point shy of his career high. Butler was second in the conference in scoring this season, averaging 27.0 points per game. 

MacMurray College

MacMurray guard closed out the 2017-18 season in remarkable fashion, accumulating 20 assists in the Highlanders final game of the season. He recorded 24 points and 20 assists in the Highlanders win over Iowa Wesleyan, setting a new program and conference record for assists in a game. He also finished the season with 166 assists, setting a new program record for assists in a season.

Principia College

While the Panthers were not able to reach the postseason for a second straight year the men's basketball team closed out their year on a high by winning their final two games. Micah Paulson scored 36 points in the team's season finale while Parker Davidson was just shy of a triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Spalding University

The Spalding baseball team is off to a hot start to their season, sweeping Sewanee last weekend in a three-game series. The Golden Eagles outscored their opponent 44-9 during the series. Spalding is back in action on the diamond this weekend as they compete in the two-week long Derby City Classic.

Webster University

The Webster women's basketball team will be the #3 seed in this weekend's SLIAC Tournament. The Gorloks will be making the program's 18th tournament appearance, tying them for the most in conference history. Webster closed out the regular season with an 18-6 overall record and a 12-4 SLIAC mark. They are in search of the program's third SLIAC Tournament Title.

Westminster College

Blue Jays junior guard Kendahl Adams wrapped up the regular season by picking up her fourth SLIAC Player of the Week award. Adams helped the Blue Jays clinch a postseason spot by leading them to a pair of conference wins last week, averaging 27.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.
