58 Student-Athletes Earn All-Academic Honors (March 7, 2018)
A total of 58 student-athletes have earned All-Academic honors from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the winter sports season which includes men's and women's basketball.....MORE

Race Is On For SLIAC/SAAC Service Award (March 13, 2018)
MacMurray College pulled in front of the 2017-18 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference SAAC Service Award in what is shaping up to be another close race. MacMurray, who used a second-half push last year to win their fourth consecutive overall service award, jumped in front after compiling over 11,000 points during the winter season.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

The Blackburn men's golf team opened the spring with a dual match win over Millikin University. The Beavers shot a two-round score of 633, topping the host team by three strokes. Trenton Easley led Blackburn with a 153, tying for second place overall. Jordan McMillen (154) and Anthony Harper (158) both finished in the top five.

Eureka College

Eureka College junior guard Shea Feehan was named to the NABC All-Central District Second Team. Feehan, the 2018 SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Year, is the fifth Red Devil in program history to earn All-District honors and the first since 2013. Feehan ranked second nationally at 30.6 points per game, setting a new conference single-season scoring mark.

Fontbonne University

Fontbonne baseball swept SLIAC Player of the Week honors with Jackson Penrod earning Hitter of the Week and Brett Lange being named Pitcher of the Week. Penrod hit .667 with three RBI and five runs scored while extending his hitting streak to six games. Lange entered two games out of the bullpen allowing just one run over 6 1/3 innings while striking out nine and recording a win.

Greenville University

 The Panthers baseball team is off to Tucson, Arizona where they will play seven total games during their trip. The Panthers softball team meanwhile remained home where they have hosted Buena Vista and Luther last weekend and will play host to Wisconsin-Platteville, Loras, and Augustana this weekend.

Iowa Wesleyan University

Iowa Wesleyan baseball had their three-game winning streak snapped when they headed to Florida for spring break. The Tigers were sitting at 5-1 to start the season but dropped their first four games in Florida. The Tigers will play three more games over the next two days in Florida before returning home. 

MacMurray College

After a two-week hiatus, the MacMurray baseball team returns to action this week with games in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Highlanders are scheduled to face Clarks Summit, Wells, and Lancaster Bible on their trip. They continue their road swing the following week with road games against Millikin and Monmouth (Ill.) before opening up SLIAC play at home on March 28.

Principia College

Principia baseball is off to an 8-2 start this season and has won five straight. The Panthers will play their next 10 games on the road including a trip to California where they will face Chapman, La Verne, and Providence Christian. 

Spalding University

Garrett Nielsen continues his strong play this year by opening his spring schedule with a 2nd place finish at the Franklin College Spring Invite. Nielsen shot a two-day score of 151 including moving up two spots on the final day. 

Webster University

The Gorlok baseball team moved into the Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III National Poll, sitting at #27 this week. The Gorloks are currently 7-2 overall and are coming off an 8-5 win over #10 ranked Southern Maine. Webster is currently playing in Florida on their spring break trip.

Westminster College

Westminster softball is off this weekend to play in three road doubleheaders. The Blue Jays are set to face Cal Lutheran, Vanguard, and Redlands in three straight days beginning on Sunday. It will mark the Blue Jays first games since being on the field on March 4.
