Spalding's Keating Featured By Local TV News Station (April 3, 2018)
The Spalding University baseball team is ranked for the first time since joining the NCAA Division III five years ago. The Golden Eagles are currently 18th. They have been led by senior pitcher Jimi Keating, who is following up an All-American campaign as a Junior with a stellar senior season.....MORE

Iowa Wesleyan Listed For NCAA Team Works Competition (April 9, 2018)
The NCAA announced the winners of the NCAA Team Works® and Helper Helper Service Competition. Each division of the NCAA was represented, and Iowa Wesleyan finished fourth in Division III.....MORE

SLIAC Game of the Week: Spalding at Westminster (April 10, 2018)
It is a battle between first-place teams when Westminster College faces Spalding University in a conference doubleheader on Saturday in the SLIAC Game of the Week. Spalding is currently in first place in the East Division with an 8-0 record while Westminster has moved into first in the West Division with a 6-2 mark.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

	Blackburn College The Blackburn softball team will be looking to snap their six-game losing streak and get back into the win column this week. The Beavers were 9-6 overall before dropping six straight conference games. They are scheduled to face MacMurray, Westminster, and Webster this week.
	Eureka College Several Eureka student-athletes were honored by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, receiving the All-American Athlete of the Year award. Ryan Barth, McKenna Cleer, Kali George, and Hayley Reneau were all recognized for the dedication to strength training and conditioning.
	Fontbonne University Fontbonne women's track and field athlete Katie Gosser was the SLIAC Feature Friday interview last week. Katie talks about how the littlest things can make a big difference in running and more. You can see her full interview HERE
	Greenville University The Panthers men's track team captured a first-place finish at the Millikin Invitational. Greenville compiled 175 points to pick up the win. The Panthers won six events with winners including John Mangold, Nathan Potts, Greg Mitchell, Mitchell Hooten, and Ben Perry.
	Iowa Wesleyan University Iowa Wesleyan announced the finalists for the annual Tiger student-athlete awards, presented at the Athletic Hall of Fame and Athletic Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 27. For the complete list of finalists click HERE
	MacMurray College The MacMurray baseball team found their stride last week, going 4-1 on the week. The Highlanders won four in a row before dropping the third and final game of a series against Blackburn. MacMurray is currently 9-15 overall and 5-5 in the SLIAC. They will host Greenville in a three-game series this weekend.
	Principia College Hallie Jones was named the SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday. Jones, a junior, captured a perfect week while playing four matches, going 2-0 at both singles and doubles. Playing at #2 singles she defeated Fontbonne 7-6, 6-4; mounting a come back in the second set after being down 3-1. She followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Blackburn.
	Spalding University Spalding baseball moved up two more spots in the latest ABCA/Collegiate Baseball poll. The Golden Eagles are now ranked #16 in the nation. Spalding is 21-3 overall and atop the SLIAC East Division with an 8-0 conference record. They have an 11 game winning streak as they begin play this week.
	Webster University Moran Mansur and Kaitlyn Johnson combined for a no-hitter in the Gorloks 8-0 win over MacMurray in game two of a conference doubleheader. Mansur started the game and worked four innings, allowing just two walks, while striking out five. Johnson finished the game with an inning, setting down the Highlanders in order. It marks the first no-hitter for Webster since 2013.
	Westminster College Madison Ingram threw a no-hitter in the Blue Jays win against MacMurray. Ingram pitched five innings, allowing no hits while striking out a career-high nine batters. Westminster is currently 8-12 overall and 4-0 in the SLIAC.
