Principia Begins Year With Week of Giving (August 21, 2017)
While many students are getting acclimated to their new surroundings and shopping for new school supplies student-athletes at Principia College begin every year with a week of giving. This past week student-athletes from the Principia men's and women's cross country program, women's soccer program, and volleyball program spent their time giving back to their surrounding community.....MORE
Game Day The D3 Way (August 23, 2017)
Division III sporting events may soon have a Disney touch. No, competitors shouldn't expect to see fans wearing Mickey Mouse ears or find Donald Duck or Pluto patrolling the bleachers. The projected impact will be subtle, but vital: a more positive game environment brought about by the division's partnership with the Disney Institute, the company's professional development, and leadership training wing....MORE
Help Raise Money For Cystic Fibrosis, Catch SLIAC Volleyball (September 5, 2017)
MacMurray College will once again be holding a Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Day, this year on Saturday, September 9. You can join in helping raise money for the foundation while also catching some St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Volleyball action all afternoon long.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC
Blackburn College Blackburn opened their season by splitting four matches at the Illinois College Tournament. Blackburn topped Knox 3-2 and Anderson 3-1 for their two wins. Junior Kendall Knop was named to the All-Tournament team after recording 47 kills and 57 digs on the weekend. |

Eureka College The Eureka men's and women's soccer teams will play some of their games on the newly renovated McKinzie Field. Both teams will play select games on the newly installed Field Turf. The women's team will play Lincoln Christian on September 14th under the lights while there are scheduled conference doubleheaders against Principia on October 10 and Iowa Wesleyan on October 24. |

Fontbonne University Victoria Curtice has made an immediate impact for the Griffins volleyball team. Curtice, a junior transfer, was named to the Illinois College All-Tournament team last weekend. Curtice finished with 37 kills while hitting .411 and adding 14 total blocks. |

Greenville University The Greenville volleyball team, picked first in the SLIAC Preseason Poll, is off to a fast start this fall with a 4-0 record. The Panthers picked up opening weekend wins over Anderson, Earlham, Culver-Stockton, and Knox. They begin conference play on tonight, Wednesday, against Eureka. |

Iowa Wesleyan University For the second straight year, the Tigers men's soccer team began the season with a win. This year they defeated Buena Vista 2-1 in their opener with Jose Pastor and Blas Villaseca netting goals. The Tigers are 1-1 on the season and face Hannibal-LaGrange on Thursday before playing their first home match of the season on Sunday. |

MacMurray College On Tuesday night the MacMurray College volleyball team opened up their home schedule against Blackburn, but the match meant much more. The Highlanders wore pink uniforms during the match in honor of the late Linda Duncan, a former administrative assistant at MacMurray College. |

Principia College The Principia volleyball team opened their season with a pair of wins. The Panthers topped Lincoln Christian and Monmouth while playing in the Monmouth Invitational. Sophia Hathaway was named to the All-Tournament team after recording 39 kills. |

Spalding University The Golden Eagles men's soccer team started the new season off in fashion, with a 9-0 win over Bluffton. Kornell Hilliard tallied three goals and two assists in the game, earning conference Player of the Week honors. Defender Leslie Chu took home Defensive Player of the Week honors as well. In addition, the win was Head Coach Adam Boyer's 50th career coaching victory. |

Webster University The Gorloks golf team opened the fall season up with an impressive first place finish in the Culver's Edgewood Fall Classic. The Gorloks shot a two round total of 593, topping the second place finisher by four strokes. The Gorloks placed four players in the Top Ten including the overall leader, Will Hocker. Hocker shot a 144, with a second round 69. |

Westminster College The Blue Jays volleyball team started conference play with a thrilling 3-2 win over Fontbonne on Tuesday night. The Blue Jays rallied by winning the final two sets of the match. Ashley Kistaitis finished with 14 kills to lead Westminster while Theresa Becker added 43 assists. |
