SLIAC Game of the Week: Greenville at Westminster (Oct. 3, 2017)
Greenville University and Westminster College are the featured SLIAC Game of the Week as their women's soccer teams will meet on Wednesday, October 4 in Fulton, Mo. at 7 p.m. Both teams won their conference opener over the weekend and will look to start separating themselves from the pack.....MORE

Mitchell At Top Of Greenville Record Book (Oct. 4, 2017)
As the women's volleyball team collected the last seven consecutive SLIAC regular season championships, a senior outside hitter from Gurnee, Ill., has played a key role in continuing the Greenville women's volleyball championship tradition during three of those seasons.  Now in her final year as a Panther, Allyson Mitchell finds herself at the top of various statistical categories in individual match, season, and career records.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

Last weekend was Homecoming weekend for Blackburn College. Among the events held was a Red-and-Black volleyball game. Among the alums returning were Kristen Beaver and former defensive stalwarts Marlee Lindstrom, Emily Johnston, and Kaleena Lewis Fish. For more on the Alumni game click HERE

Eureka College

The Eureka soccer teams have a pair of conference doubleheaders this week; facing MacMurray on Wednesday and Spalding on Saturday. The men's team will also play Emmaus on Friday while the women's program returns home for the first time in nearly a month when they face Spalding. 

Fontbonne University

Fontbonne women's basketball announced their 2017-18 schedule. The Griffins will start the season on November 14th with an exhibition contest against NCAA Division II opponent Lindenwood University. Their official season opener is a road game on November 17th against Robert Morris-Springfield.

Greenville University

The Greenville men's soccer team finds themselves in position near the top of the SLIAC standings. At 6-5 overall the Panthers opened up conference play with a 5-0 win over MacMurray last weekend. Next up for Greenville is the four-time defending SLIAC Tournament champion Westminster on Wednesday and first-place leading Principia on Saturday.  

Iowa Wesleyan University

Both the men's and women's golf teams competed over the weekend at the Waldorf Invitational. The men's team finished 3rd with a team score of 313. Kiley Miller shot a 74 to finish 2nd while Brock Butler shot a 75 for 3rd place. On the women's side, Hannah Lien led the Tigers with a 96, finishing 12th overall; helping the Tigers to a 4th place finish at the event.

MacMurray College

MacMurray College volleyball swept SLIAC weekly honors this week with Olivia Wall being named Offensive Player of the Week and Alexis Moore being named Defensive Player of the Week; marking the first time in program history the program has swept the weekly awards. 

Principia College

Principia volleyball head coach Mary Ann Sprague had a memorable weekend. She picked up her 300th coaching win and later in the weekend moved past Lee Suarez as the program's all-time winningest coach. The Panthers have won eight in a row and face Westminster College and MacMurray College on the road on Saturday.

Spalding University

The Spalding volleyball team notched their second straight win with a 3-1 victory over Franklin on Tuesday night. The Golden Eagles won 25-19, 25-22, 19-25, and 25-15. Ashley Chase finished with a match-high 11 kills while Claudia Spivey added 10 kills and eight blocks. Koti Weaver finished with 24 digs for the Golden Eagles.

Webster University

At 10-1 the Webster women's soccer team continues to roll along this season. The Gorloks sit atop the SLIAC standings with a 2-0 record after defeating Fontbonne 1-0 on Tuesday night. Webster will face Blackburn on Saturday before playing their final non-conference regular season game on Monday when they host Finlandia.

Westminster College

Westminster College announced their 2017 Hall of Fame class and five of the six inductees were student-athletes in the SLIAC. Those going in: from baseball Ehren Earleywine, Chris Pemberton, and Cory Roper; from women's soccer Danielle Shannon-Schaefer, and from men's soccer Byron Schulte.
