Blackburn College The Blackburn women's basketball team came up just short in their bid for their first conference win of the season on Saturday. The Beavers rallied from a 12-point deficit against Iowa Wesleyan only to see a potential game-winning three-pointer rim out at the buzzer in a 61-59 loss. |

Eureka College The Red Devils men's basketball team notched a 72-64 win over Dominican on Tuesday night with Hank Thomas leading the way with 27 points. Eureka is off until Dec. 30 when they face NCAA Division II Maryville University in a road contest. |

Fontbonne University The Fontbonne men's basketball team suffered their fourth straight loss on Monday, a 74-71 defeat at the hands of Illinois Tech. It marked the second game this season the Griffins have lost by three of fewer points. Kris McCann led Fontbonne with 23 points and six assists. |

Greenville University It took a few weeks but it looks like the Greenville men's basketball team has found their footing. With just one starter returning the Panthers opened the season with a 2-4 mark. However they have now won three straight games and are among the four teams tied for first in the conference standings at 3-1. |

Iowa Wesleyan University After dropping their first nine games this season Iowa Wesleyan surprised many when they defeated Blackburn, who entered the game undefeated in conference play, last Saturday; winning 88-85. Brock Butler (29 points) and Mitchell Drey (24 points) led the Tigers to their first win of the season. |

MacMurray College The Highlanders men's basketball team secured their first conference win of the year with a 64-60 victory over Spalding on Saturday. MacMurray's Brent Long led the way with 23 points and 13 rebounds; which helped him secure this week's SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award. |

Principia College Principia wrapped up their play in the Hoops in Hawaii Classic with an 82-79 win over Pacific on Tuesday night. The Panthers rallied from down six at the half to hand Pacific just their second loss against eight wins. TreVaughn Goodman finished with a game high 34 points while Parker Davidson chipped in with 18 points. |

Spalding University The Spalding women's basketball team has won two of their last three games including a 79-52 win over MacMurray last Saturday to even their conference record to 2-2. They will head to Florida to compete in the Daytona Beach Shootout this week with games against Westminster (Pa.) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. |

Webster University The Webster women's soccer team recently donated their soccer uniforms and gear to Club Atletico to help start its soccer academy in Zambia, Africa. St. Louis area native Charles Renken teamed up with STLCA owner Ricardo Garza and Saint Louis Club Atletico to launch a soccer academy in Zambia. |

Westminster College The Westminster women's basketball team will is heading the mountains this week for an exhibition game against Division I University of Colorado. The Blue Jays will face Colorado on Thursday night at 8 p.m. and then return to Missouri for a game against Missouri S&T on December 30th to close out the year. |
