Adams Named WBCA All-America Honorable Mention (March 25, 2019)

SLIAC Game of the Week: Fontbonne at Greenville (March 26, 2019)
This week's SLIAC Game of the Week is a mid-week softball doubleheader between Fontbonne University and Greenville University. The two teams have combined to win the last nine SLIAC Tournament titles and will meet on.....MORE

Watts Named Finalist for ITA Leadership Award (March 26, 2019)
Webster University senior Madison Watts (Rogersville, Mo./Logan Rogersville) was selected as one of four national finalists for the 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ann Lebedeff Leadership Award, the organization announced on Monday.....MORE


AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

The Beavers golf team opened up their spring schedule with a 4th place finish. The Beavers, who played host of the tournament, shot a two-round score of 658. Anthony Harper led the Beavers with a 2nd place finish individually, shooting a 153 including a tournament-best 72 in round two. 

Eureka College

The Eureka softball team has rolled off four straight wins after sweeping doubleheaders against Blackburn and Rockford. The Red Devils exploded for 20 runs in the two games against Rockford and have scored at least seven runs in their last four games. Eureka returns to conference play with games against MacMurray and Spalding this week.

Fontbonne University

Fontbonne baseball steps away from SLIAC play for a mid-week game against Illinois College on Wednesday. The Griffins are 14-3 overall this season and receiving votes in the latest national poll. The Griffins return to SLIAC action with a doubleheader against Greenville on Saturday.

Greenville University

The wins continue to pile up for the Panthers men's tennis team. They picked up their 10th win of the season in an 8-1 win over Illinois College on Saturday. The Panthers are 10-1 this season and face Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday. 

Iowa Wesleyan University

Chris Gaskin is the new head coach of the Tigers women's soccer program. Gaskin, a 2013 graduate of Green Mountain College, comes to Iowa Wesleyan after serving as the head coach of his alma mater. There he led his team to a conference championship in 2018 and the program's first winning season since 2006.

MacMurray College

MacMurray Assistant Athletic Trainer Katelyn Karpoff was highlighted in this week's SLIAC campaign to celebrate National Athletic Trainer month. Karpoff is in her first year with the Highlanders and you can read her interview and the rest of the SLIAC A.T. interviews HERE

Principia College

Daniel Gomez received his 3rd SLIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week award this season. Gomez is currently 11-1 on the season as the #1 singles player for the Panthers. He also has an additional five wins in doubles action.

Spalding University

After opening their season by winning eight of their first nine games, the Spalding softball team is off to their best start in program history. After a doubleheader sweep of Rose-Hulman the Golden Eagles are 11-2 this season. Next up is a non-conference game against Mount St. Joseph on Thursday.

Webster University

Webster baseball slipped in the latest national rankings but are still ranked #12 in the latest ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll and #14 in this week's NCBWA/D3baseball.com poll. The Gorloks are 13-5 overall this season and will face Westminster in a three-game series this weekend in Fulton, Mo.

Westminster College

The Westminster softball team returned home from California with a doubleheader sweep of Iowa Wesleyan. The Blue Jays took both games by identical 8-0 scores with Katie Price and Madison Ingram recorded wins in the circle. Westminster is 4-10 overall and face Monmouth on Thursday in a non-conference doubleheader.
