Iowa Wesleyan Hosting Special Olympics Spring Games (April 6, 2019)
Jonathan Hoevelmann and Luke Summers had record-setting days in the Griffins doubleheader against Eureka last week. Hoevelmann became the program's career leader in stolen bases while Summers tied the career mark for wins and set a new record for career strikeouts.....MORE

SLIAC Game of the Week: Iowa Wesleyan at Fontbonne (April 9, 2019)
This week's Game of the Week is a softball doubleheader between Iowa Wesleyan University and Webster University. Iowa Wesleyan is looking to snap a six-game losing streak to Webster while Webster is looking to stop a five-game skid....MORE


AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

The Beaver softball team has won seven straight to improve to 10-12 overall and pull their SLIAC record even at 5-5 this season. Megan Moseley is leading the Beaver offense with a .385 average with two home runs and 13 RBI.

Eureka College

The Eureka softball team is currently 12-4 on the season, 6-2 in the SLIAC, and have won four straight non-conference games. They continue their out of conference stretch with two more games against St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Thursday before returning to SLIAC play against Webster on Saturday.

Fontbonne University

Fontbonne baseball split a doubleheader against Principia last night and are now 17-8 overall and 4-5 in the SLIAC. The Griffins are set to face Blackburn in a doubleheader this Saturday as they open up a five-game road trip.

Greenville University

The Panthers baseball team continues to roll along, having won ten straight to improve to 18-7 overall this season. The Panthers are undefeated in the SLIAC and take on Westminster in a road doubleheader on Wednesday.  

Iowa Wesleyan University

Morgan Christner has led the Tigers softball team to a 6-2 SLIAC record and 15 overall wins this season. Christner is hitting .455 and is second in the SLIAC with 27 RBI while also leading the league in several pitching categories including strikeouts with 112.

MacMurray College

The Highlander softball team recorded their first two conference wins of the season over the weekend, sweeping a doubleheader against Principia. The Highlanders won 5-4 and 10-9. 

Principia College

The Principia softball team heads to Jefferson City, Mo. for a pair of non-conference games against Lincoln College on Thursday. Principia will be looking to add to their three wins this season and return to SLIAC play this weekend against Spalding.

Spalding University

The Golden Eagles baseball team is 18-7 overall and have won five in a row as they head into a non-conference game against Transylvania on Wednesday. They will turn around and put their 8-1 conference record up against Westminster when they host the SLIAC foe on Saturday.

Webster University

The Gorlok softball team swept Fontbonne, winning 7-5 and 3-2, on Tuesday to improve their SLIAC record to 3-7 this season. The Gorloks will face Iowa Wesleyan in the SLIAC Game of the Week on Wednesday.

Westminster College

After dropping their first two conference games this season last week the Blue Jays have had to wait to return to the field. They had their games at Spalding postponed on Sunday. They are finally back in action for the first time in over a week with a doubleheader against MacMurray on Wednesday.
