Greenville Picked As Favorites In Women's Basketball (Oct. 24, 2018)
Greenville University has been picked as the favorites by the coaches in the 2018-19 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Preseason Poll. The Panthers received 55 total points in the poll including four first-place nods. Spalding University and Westminster College finished just behind with 51 points each while defending SLIAC Tournament Champion Webster University is predicted to be the fourth team into the tournament field.....MORE

Greenville and Westminster Predicted To Battle At Top Of Men's Basketball (Oct. 25, 2018)
Coming off the program's second-ever SLIAC Tournament title the Greenville Panthers are picked as the preseason favorites in the 2018-19 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Coaches Poll. The Panthers received five first-place votes in what is expected to be a two-way race at the top with Westminster College.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

The Blackburn volleyball team wrapped up their 2018 season with a win on senior night on Tuesday. The Beavers topped Lincoln College in four sets. Prior the match Blackburn recognized seniors Shelsie Timmermeier, Emily Schroeder, Jensen Ballinger, Alanni Young, and Kendall Knop.

Eureka College

Eureka College has appointed Bryan Moore as the new Director of Athletics. Moore has led the department on an interim basis since July 1 and previously directed the department's communications office for eight years. For the full release click HERE

Fontbonne University

Blake Smugala did his best to get the Griffins in the postseason but the team came up short. Needing wins in their final two games Smugala netted two goals in each game, picking up the wins. He closed out his season with both of his team's goals in a 2-1 double overtime win against rival Webster and would go on to pick up SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Greenville University

The Greenville men's cross country team made it three consecutive SLIAC Championships after winning last weekend's SLIAC meet on Saturday in Litchfield, Illinois. Dylan Goodyear captured the individual title with a time of 25:55, becoming the first Panther to win the individual title since Rodney Oyler in 2008.

Iowa Wesleyan University

The Tigers men's soccer team becomes the first program from Iowa Wesleyan to secure a postseason berth into a SLIAC tournament. The Tigers defeated MacMurray 4-0 in their regular-season finale, clinching a tournament spot. The Tigers will be the #4 seed in the upcoming SLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament. 

MacMurray College

MacMurray volleyball wrapped up their 2018 season with a 10-21 mark, going 7-11 in conference play. That was a four-win increase overall from last season and that is their most conference wins since 2014. 

Principia College

Principia's Kaleb Keller concluded his 2018 season on an impressive hot streak. He scored a goal in seven straight games to end the season including a career-high four goals against Webster in the regular season finale. Keller led the conference in goals (22) and points (51) this season; marking the second straight year he has topped all SLIAC players in those categories.

Spalding University

Spalding University will play host to one of the SLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament semifinal games. Spalding won the SLIAC regular season and is the top seed in the upcoming tournament. They will host Iowa Wesleyan on Thursday. The game has been moved to the campus of Bellarmine University due to weather issues.

Webster University

Two straight titles for the Webster women's cross country team! The Gorloks cruised to a championship as they had three runners in the top six. The 30 point margin of victory was the largest at the SLIAC Championships since 2008. Meredith Sowers led the Gorloks with a 3rd place finish, crossing the line in 23:39.

Westminster College

Jessie Kuykendall made conference history last weekend by becoming the first runner to win three SLIAC Individual Championships during their career. Kuykendall finished first at the 2018 conference meet with a time of 23:01.
