Over 200 Student-Athletes Earn SLIAC Academic Honors (Nov. 12, 2018)
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference would like to congratulate the 209 student-athletes earning 2018 All-Academic honors. Athletes from men's and women's cross country, women's golf, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball were recognized. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, have been at their institution for one year, and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or above...MORE

Iowa Wesleyan Early Leaders In SLIAC SAAC Challenge (Nov. 20, 2018)
The early leader in the SLIAC SAAC Challenge for the 2018-19 academic year is Iowa Wesleyan University. This marks the second straight year the Tigers have put up the most challenge points in the conference during the fall season.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

Jenna Dudra led Blackburn to a 71-63 win over Robert Morris-Springfield on Tuesday night, helping the Beavers to pick up their first win of the season. Dudra scored 23 points while also recording eight steals while Gariel Pierce finished with nine points and 14 rebounds.

Eureka College

Dakota Bennington was named the SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week this week after putting up three straight 20 point games. Bennington averaged 26.0 points and 6.0 rebounds last week while shooting 53-percent from the field. He had a high of 29 points against Berea.

Fontbonne University

The Griffins men's basketball team is currently 2-2 overall this season and will have over a week off before they jump into conference play at home against cross-town rival Webster on Wednesday, November 28.

Greenville University

Greenville won the consolation game of the North Park Tournament over the weekend. The Panthers defeated North Park 153-113 to pick up their first win of the season. They will play in the Nebraska Wesleyan/Snyder Invitational this weekend in Lincoln, Neb.

Iowa Wesleyan University

The Iowa Wesleyan men's basketball team completed play in the Tiger Tip-Off Tournament in Colorado Springs, Colo., falling to Johnson & Wales 95-73. Austin Rebel led the Tigers with 17 points and 11 rebounds. 

MacMurray College

The Highlanders men's basketball team dropped their first game of the season on Tuesday night, falling 68-67 to Monmouth to fall to 2-1 on the year. Wade Fox is leading the Highlanders with a 16.3 points per game average.

Principia College

The Panthers are three games into the return of the women's basketball program after facing Stephens College on Monday night. They continue their road trip to open the season with a game at Lincoln Christian on Tuesday night next week.

Spalding University

Spalding went 1-1 in the Webster Tip-Off Tournament last weekend; defeating Concordia Chicago but falling to Belhaven. The Golden Eagles are currently 1-2 on the season and will face Otterbein at home on Saturday.

Webster University

Webster is currently 3-1 on the season and picked up a win over WashU last week, marking the first time they started a season with back-to-back wins since the 2010-11 season. The Gorloks are set to face Ozarks on Friday and Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday at home in the Webster Classic.

Westminster College

The Blue Jays edged out Central (Iowa) 61-58 on Tuesday night to mark the program's first-ever win over the Dutch. Westminster picked up 14 points and 13 rebounds from Mirrakohl Johnson, who was named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
