Former Principia Track All-American Highlighted On CNN

CNN recently released another video in their "African Voices" series that highlighted former Principia College standout athlete Ngozi Mwanamwambwa Asinga.  A seven-time NCAA Division III All-American in track, Ngozi earned top-three finishes in the 100-, 200-, and 400-meter races, and was the 1992 national champion in the 200-meter. That year, while a junior at Principia, Ngozi was the first woman to represent her native country of Zambia in the Olympics, held in Barcelona. She also competed in the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta. In 2006 Ngozi was inducted into the NCAA Track and Field Hall of Fame.

Ngozi now runs a boot camp and fitness operation in Zambia, where she continues to inspire those around her to push themselves both physically and mentally.  Click this link to see the CNN video.
