Spalding To Host Pair of NCAA National Championships

Spalding University in collaboration with the Louisville Sports Commission has been selected as the host for two NCAA National Championship events between 2018-22.

SU and the LSC will host the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park for a second and third time in 2019 and 2021.

NCAA Division III events Spalding will host include:
- Nov. 23, 2019 – NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Cross Country National Championship at E.P "Tom" Sawyer State Park
- Nov. 20, 2021 – NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Cross Country National Championship at E.P "Tom" Sawyer State Park

In 2016, Spalding and the Louisville Sports Commission collaborated to bring an NCAA Championship event to Louisville, again, hosting the NCAA D III Cross Country Championships at E.P. Tom Sawyer. 2016 marked the first time the NCAA had brought a Division III national championship event to Kentucky. The cross country championships will have an estimated economic impact of $1.3 million per event, totaling a $2.6 million impact on the Louisville area.
