Title IX at 45 Years
In conjunction with the 45th anniversary of Title IX this week, the NCAA office of inclusion has released a new report on the status of female student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. The report, titled '45 Years of Title IX: The Status of Women in Intercollegiate Athletics' uses the latest research on NCAA female participants and leaders to shed light on three primary areas:
- Participation opportunities for student-athletes
- Resource allocations for women's athletics programs
- Leadership positions, including a special section on minority women
This is the second report highlighting women in athletics, building off the initial report conducted in 2012. Both resources were authored by NCAA Director of Inclusion Amy Wilson.
