Fontbonne University Director of Athletics, Maria Buckel, is pleased announce the hiring of Ben Mizera as the next Director of Athletic Communications.

"It is always hard to lose a talented person like Danielle Donze but we are very excited that we could replace her with another individual that is not only passionate about Sports Information but has such a vast amount of experience," said Buckel. "Ben Mizera impressed us throughout the entire hiring process. As a former SID he understands the complexity of role and how to balance all the different aspects of the job."

She added, "Despite the large workload, the quality of work that Ben has performed in the past is remarkable. We are so excited to have Ben in such an important role for us and welcome him to the Fontbonne Family."

"I'd like to thank Director of Athletics Maria Buckel, and the rest of the search committee, for this opportunity," said Mizera. "As soon as I stepped on campus I knew this was a right fit for me and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. I've got some big shoes to fill with the great job that Danielle Donze did, but I'm ready for the challenge and excited for the seasons ahead."
