SLIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week - Oct. 8
Colton Vaughn, Webster University

Colton Vaughn picks up his second SLIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award this fall. Vaughn, a freshman from Hillsboro, Mo., paced the Gorloks at the Fast Cats Classic last weekend. Vaughn finished 21st in a field of 152 runners, completing the 8K course in a time of 28:26.

       
   

SLIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week - Oct. 8
Lauren Coleman, Webster University

Coleman, a sophomore from St. Peters, Mo., finished 23rd overall at the Fast Cats Classic, completing the 5K course in a time of 20:44. Coleman was one of three Gorloks to place in the top 30 of the race, a race that included 152 runners. Her time was the third fastest 5K distance by a Webster runner this season.

       
     

SLIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 8
Kornell Hilliard, Spalding University

Hilliard, a junior, notches his second weekly award this year thanks to his second hat-trick of the season. Hilliard started the week by assisting on the game-winning goal against MacMurray, a 1-0 win for the Golden Eagles. Three days later Hilliard buried three balls into the back of the net on just six shots. For the week he finished with seven points on three goals and one assist.

       
     

SLIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 8
Drew Blair, Fontbonne University

Drew Blair, a freshman keeper from Rolla, Mo., is the SLIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after recording nearly 160 shutout minutes in net last week. Blair came off the bench against Principia to maintain a shutout in a 1-0 win, making three saves. He followed with a complete game shutout against Greenville, stopping all five shots he faced. Blair finished with a perfect save-percentage and eight saves in 159:02 minutes of action last week.

       
     

SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 8
Rebecca Bass, Fontbonne University

Bass, a junior forward, picks up conference weekly honors after leading the Griffins to a pair of conference victories last week. Bass, from Florissant, Mo., recorded six points in the two wins, tallying two goals and two assists. She had a goal and two assists against Principia then followed with the game-winning goal against Greenville.

       
     

SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 8
Rylee Stafford, Fontbonne University

Rylee Stafford, a sophomore from Jackson, Mo., grabs defensive honors after holding the back line for the Griffins last week in two shutout wins. Stafford, a defender, and the Griffins limited opponents to no goals and just five total shots on the week. She also chipped in with an assist in her team's 5-0 win over Principia.

       
     

SLIAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 8
Abby Freeman, Greenville University

Freeman continues her hot streak with another conference weekly award, her fourth this season. Freeman, a sophomore, had two matches with more than 20 kills last week, finishing with 59 kills in four outings. She averaged 5.36 kills per set, hitting .323 on the week. Freeman put down 23 kills against both Iowa Wesleyan and Blackburn. She also added seven aces on the week and averaged 6.3 points per set.

       
     

SLIAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 8
Mia Gill, Principia College

Mia Gill, a senior from Elgin, Ill., finished with over 100 digs in three matches last week; averaging 8.5 per set. Gill set a program record with 54 digs against Westminster. She totaled 102 digs in the three matches and added two service aces.

  • Matt Amick, Webster University (Soccer) Recorded five saves in a shutout win against Westminster.
  • Desiree Brooks, Fontbonne University (Cross Country) Set a personal record with a time of 23:22 at the Fast Cats Classic.
  • Andres Castro, Fontbonne University (Soccer) Castro tallied a goal in back to back wins last week for Fontbonne, notching the game-winner in both games.
  • Alisa Coralic, Webster University (Soccer) Recorded back-to-back shutouts in net for the Gorloks, stopping three shots in both games.
  • Kristen Farrah, Webster University (Volleyball) Had two matches of at least 30 digs, averaging 10.11 per set on the week.
  • Sarah Jacobs, Webster University (Volleyball) Hit .471 on the week, averaging 2.89 kills per set with a high of 13 kills against Fontbonne.
  • Austin Joyce, Fontbonne University (Cross Country) Joyce led the Griffins with a time of 32:17 in the Fast Cats Classic.
  • Lida Landre, Iowa Wesleyan University (Volleyball) Landre averaged 3.06 kills per set including a high of 21 against Westminster.
  • Lauren Locke, Spalding University (Soccer) Recorded a goal in back-to-back games for Spalding.
  • Devon Marunde, Principia College (Volleyball) Marunde averaged 9.83 assists in her three matches last week including putting up 50 assists in a win over Westminster.
  • Trevor Massa, Spalding University (Soccer) Stopped all six shots he faced in picking up two wins for the Golden Eagles last week.
  • Edin Mehmedovic, Webster University (Soccer) Mehmedovic scored on both of his shots in a 4-0 win over Westminster, including the game-winner.
  • Jenna Murphy, Iowa Wesleyan University (Volleyball) Recorded back to back 30 dig matches including a high of 34 in a win over Eureka.
  • Heather Robinson, Eureka College (Volleyball) Had three double-double matches in kills and digs for the Red Devils last week.
  • Kayla Strehle, Spalding University (Soccer) Strehle stopped two shots in picking up a shutout victory over Blackburn.
