SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week - Nov. 19
Dakota Bennington, Eureka College

Bennington, a junior from Peoria, Ill., put up three 20-point games for the Red Devils last week. He averaged 26.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in the three contests, shooting 53-percent from the field and averaging 8.3 free-throws per game. Bennington had a high of 29 points against Berea and knocked down 5-of-13 three's on the week.

       
     

SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Nov. 19
Mirrakohl Johnson, Westminster College

Johnson, a senior from Memphis, Tenn., averaged a double-double for the Blue Jays in two games last week. She started the year with 24 points and 8 rebounds against Illinois College and followed with 22 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Millikin. Johnson also shot 55-percent from the floor on the week, going 18-of-33.

Other Notables:

  • Lexi Dooley, Eureka College -Dooley averaged a double-double in three games, averaging 11.3 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. 
  • Karson Hayes, Blackburn College - Scored 36 points, connecting on eight three's, against DePauw.
  • Chassidy Hays, MacMurray College - The freshman forward recorded two double-doubles in her first two collegiate games and is averaging 11.3 points and 12.0 rebounds in three contests this year.
  • Josh Johnson, Webster University - Finished with 20 points and four assists in a win over Washington-St. Louis.
  • Kobe Wands, Westminster College - Had back-to-back 20 point games last week with a high of 23 against Millikin.
  • Raven Venegas, Fontbonne University - Had a double-double with 10 points, shooting 71-percent from the field, and 11 rebounds against Ozarks. 
  • Jared Woodcock, Fontbonne University - Scored a season high 24 points, hitting four three-pointers, against Marian (Ind.).
