SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week - Dec. 3
Robert Bendingfield, Spalding University

Bendingfield, a sophomore from Louisville, Ky., put up a career-best week in helping the Golden Eagles pick up two conference wins. He scored 22 points, setting a new career high, in a come from behind win over Principia; adding two assists and three steals. Bendingfield topped that with a new career high of 27 points in a win over Eureka, adding nine rebounds and five assists. He shot 58-percent from the field for the week and finished with averages of 24.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.

     
 

SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Dec. 3
Addison Beussink, Webster University

Beussink, a freshman from Jackson, Mo., averaged 12.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in two Gorlok wins last week. She shot 63-percent from the field and was perfect from the free-throw line. Beussink recorded her third straight double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Fontbonne. She closed out the week with 14 points and seven rebounds in a victory against Iowa Wesleyan.

Other Notables:

  • Luke DeLine, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) DeLine averaged 26.0 points in two outings last week including a 30 point effort against Webster in which he also grabbed 11 rebounds.
  • Paige Black, Fontbonne University (Women's Basketball) Scored a season-high 20 points against MacMurray, knocking down four three-pointers and adding four assists and six steals.
  • Kallee Dowler, Westminster College (Women's Basketball) Averaged 15.7 points in three games, shooting 50-percent from the field and connecting on 13 three-pointers on the week.
  • Alex Martin, Spalding University (Women's Basketball) Scored 12 points in a win over Eureka, reaching the 1,000 point mark for her career.
  • Enrique Tankins, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Iowa Wesleyan.
  • Eric Williams, Greenville University (Men's Basketball) Averaged 22.5 points in two wins last week with a high of 25 points against Eureka.
