MacMurray SAAC Donates Over 500 Canned Goods

The MacMurray College SAAC collected 566 items for the Jacksonville Food Bank, as part of a two-day Hoops & Helping event last week. Items were donated at both the Highlander men's and women's basketball games on Wednesday and Friday evening.

Monday afternoon, SAAC President Corbin Tullis, Vice President Janelle Benson, and representative Caitlyn Hoene all posed for a photo with the non-perishable items that were donated.

"We are proud to continue a tradition of giving back to the Jacksonville Food Bank during one of their busiest times of the year," said SAAC Advisor, Danielle Doerfler. "Our Mac family came through again with over 500 items and we are happy to help make the holidays better for others."

MacMurray has won the last five SLIAC SAAC Service Awards, which includes criteria serving the community. Full details can be found on the SLIAC website.
