SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week - Jan. 14
Eric Williams, Greenville University

Eric Williams' performance last week led him to be named the SLIAC Player of the Week. Williams, a junior from Memphis, Tenn., scored a game-high 36 points in his team's win over Iowa Wesleyan, helping the Panthers remain undefeated in conference play. Williams was 15-of-29 from the field and added 10 rebounds with three assists and four steals in the contest. He scored 21 of his points in the first half, helping Greenville put up 83 points in the first 20 minutes of play.

     
 

SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Jan. 14
Chassidy Hays, MacMurray College

Hays captures her second consecutive weekly honor after averaging 23.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in two conference games last week. Hays shot 77-percent from the field on the week, scoring a high of 28 points against Spalding. That same game she grabbed 17 rebounds while going 13-of-14 from the field. Hays is currently averaging 17.8 points and 13.4 rebounds per game while shooting 64-percent from the field this season.

  • Dakota Bennington, Eureka College (Men's Basketball) Averaged 24.5 points while shooting 63-percent from the field in two conference games.
  • Addison Beussink, Webster University (Women's Basketball) Finished with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals in a win over Blackburn.
  • Jarryd Fernandes, Iowa Wesleyan University (Men's Basketball) Put career highs in both points (35) and rebounds (18) against Greenville. 
  • Gus Kleekamp, Fontbonne University (Men's Basketball) Scored a career-high 29 points on 11-of-16 shooting against Eureka.
  • Alex Martin, Spalding University (Women's Basketball) Led her team to a win over MacMurray with 30 points and six steals.
  • Marcus Montgomery, Spalding University (Men's Basketball) Tallied 34 points, with six three's, in a win over MacMurray.
  • Rylee Stafford, Fontbonne University (Women's Basketball) Scored 19 points, doing so on 6-of-8 shooting while adding five assists and three steals in a win over Eureka.
  • Nigel Wilcox, Webster University (Men's Basketball) Finished with 11 points and 21 rebounds against Blackburn, the 2nd most rebounds in school history.
